The first time I learned about coyotes is when I was a kid playing nhl 98. I saw the coyotes logo and it became my favourite team ever since. I wouldn't watch nhl alot because of time zone differences but each time I played a new nhl game I would always pick the coyotes.

As a UK fan, I always feel so sorry for you fans when teams get moved. I don't understand how owners are allowed to do this. Look at Oakland A's too. It's a disgrace how an entire fan base can be treated like utter shit.

stuff like this makes nhl feel kinda plastic in general

I hear you sir! I'm a long time Coyotes fan from Australia. I"ve literally never met another fan of the yotes here, so it was great to watch you. What are your plans now? Hope Murello wins the land auction and wait another 5 years? Adopt another team? Start seriously following the Road Runners?

That's a bummer for you guys. As a Blackhawks fan, I'll never forget you guys knocking us out of the playoffs in 2012. I hated the Coyotes after that haha.

Right when u had a great team for the next couple of years the team gets ripped away. Really feel for u guys. But this was a long time coming, the owner situation and results (besides 2012) have been to poor.

I'm really sorry for this. I was living in Phoenix when they got the Coyotes. While not a Coyotes fan, this is the worst for y'all. I worry that the Rockies are going to join the Coyotes in Utah, and am not looking forward to that.

I’m an Islanders fan who had the threat of my team leaving for most of my 34 year old life. Pisses me off watching other hockey fans “explain the business realities” to diehard Coyotes fans as if they have any control over it or somehow don’t understand exactly what went wrong. Really sorry man.

From an outsider who’s to blame? A little bit of everyone? I feel bad for the fans but I also feel like the players deserve better than playing in an arena that fits only 5000 people. I actually didn’t even know that til this whole thing happened. I would have LOVED to catch a Rangers game in Arizona in that type of intimate setting. Still, I can only imagine what visiting players must have thought when they went from playing at a packed Madison square garden one night and then a college campus the next. That’s wild and they definitely needed to move. I wish you guys could have gotten your arena in the right spot.

I can’t imagine the feeling since I’m a Rangers fan and that’s something that would never happen here. That being said, this Utah team is STILL your Yotes! For now at least. I’m almost certain Arizona will get another team at some point, they just need the right arena in the right location. Keep your head up high and try your best to enjoy the new team. Worse comes to worse, you can always pick a new team! I was also a Pens fan as a child because I loved the logo! This was right after Lemieux came back from his recovery from cancer! The team was super fun to watch especially with a young Jagr. Before Crosby was drafted I made the switch to the Rangers because I hated being the odd man out rooting for the Pens while everyone else in my family rooted for the Rangers. I could have easily switched back to the Pens when they started winning with Crosby but I didn’t. I did not want to be a bandwagon fan and I stayed with the Rangers. Anyway I guess the morale of the story is just go with your gut and in time things will get better. Especially right now where there’s so much great playoff hockey going on. Just watch and enjoy for now.

FRRR the coyotes were my fav team and now they’re moving, for FIVE YEARS! (that’s how long the arena will take to build) and Utah does not sound good. Look for new fav teams, a fam fav for mine forever was bruins, but I had my own now, and then their leaving, my dad told me and I was broken, but then disgusted after I heard they were going to Utah, #GoCOYOTESGo!

Im so thanksful that the Coyotes won't exist anymore in the next season. I never hated a team that much, than the Coyotes. I never liked you, I will never like you, you won't win a stanley cup in 100 years, you won't even reach the final because you are a bunch of dogsh*t. I'm not joking or trolling, I just hate you. There is nothing I like about this team. So only thing that I liked was Clayton Keller and I always hoped he will left you soon. But now I'm happy. I hope so much that the 2nd sh*ttiest team in the League (Kraken) will leave aswell sooner then they came.

sports is starting to become more of a business then a sport, and i hate to see it. people of sport was people that cared about the fans rather about the best way to get money.

I can totally see where you’re coming from. I always say I’m a Blackhawks fan before a hockey fan. Nothing compares to rooting for your team. I can cheer for other teams’ success, or hate watch a rival, but it is nothing like watching your team win.
