The car has 180,000 km on it, literally not a single problem other than small recall work. It’s had proper maintenance at all the scheduled intervals. It’s been an Extremely reliable and dependable platform.

fuel map needs to be tweaked with, because the twins were mapped to spool sooner than the single will, the fuel is too lean at lower revs because the ecu is expecting more boost at those lower revs....if that makes sense....lol, or its a vacuum leak...lol
@tyriqueross4018Ай бұрын
Wouldn’t that cause it to be running more rich at lower rpm’s? Because the ecu is expecting more air, so dumping more fuel?

Right on boys im getting the exact same heater with a 500 watt inverter from crappy tire. Beats spending a fortune on my winter beater getting the blower motor fixed.

The bolt pattern is different between a 7.3 and a lbz I’m getting ready to do one in my lb7 the duramaxs use the same bolt pattern but the zf6 from a 7.3 is completely different

Two ways if you Manifold glow plug is not working ... Warm gentally the inlet manifold with propane torch when hot then crank motor .. or direct flame inside manifold while cranking the you save your battery lol lol

Would not expect a Canadian to think about going into a sticky situation with out back up or weapons when he is friends with a dirt brown. Hopefully Europeans will learn about how other colors live in this world.

Not the safest way to work on any vehicle using only a floor Jack & no other means of support under the frame or anything else . One slip up & you may not live to make another day . Just use common sense guys, & invest in some Jack stands or at bare minimum a couple big pieces of timbers like old railroad ties or the like to prop up underneath while working. Have fun , and stay safe😎👍

so there are several zf6 transmissions I just dont know if all are compatable with gm trucks if they can be made compatable without spending too much it opens up my selection by a lot I had a zf6 lb7 duramax I had to scrap it with only 97,000 miles such a shame I wish I kept it and did a frame swap but finding a donor truck that is a 2500hd extended cab 8ft bed is extremely hard

The interesting thing with these diesels isn’t record crushing power numbers, but doing more with less. Id say it’s a sport of finessing the most out of a motor between more power and efficiency out of units of diesel (which is a more potent denser energy than units of gas). In all honesty, if it weren’t for the EPA and if more people knew or were even persuaded about these capabilities like the government tries to push EVs, it would probably make EVs obsolete. But that’s not in their agenda.

32.45 MPG is relatively economical for an old school 2.2-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine, but it's very wasteful for a modern diesel engine with the same capacity and number of cylinders

I'd love to do this with my '07 v6 manual ranger. But being a Murican! it's not legal. I can't swap in an engine that wasn't in a road legal vehicle, and the engine also had to be the same model year of the vehicle or newer. So a common rail 2.0 tdi is my best option. But it looks like the the rule of thumb of budgeting $10,000 for any engine swap is real. And that's doing ALL the work yourself. No thanks.
