at 2:15 the bottom of the drain tray looks flat. If that is the water will not completely drain out and funny things will be growing in the drain tray. The bottom of the drain needs to be V shaped and descending from left/right to the middle. So when the tray is level, and you pour water into the tray, 100% of the water drains out because the bottom of the tray is sloping down from each end of the drain trey to the drain hole in the middle. You can test this by putting the tray over your sink, use shims if necessary to make sure the tray is level, then pour your water. I sent one tray back and have another coming in that has the sloped bottom. We'll see if it passes the "all water must drain when level" test.

My curbless shower will be 72” by 48” do you have pieces to fit that size? Planning on linear drain along length of shower.
@recyclespinning98392 жыл бұрын
Sooo, when you tile? You doing custom shower base? Cause you know you gonna need water proof membrane. Thus is a very incomplete "how to"..

HELLO?? Is anyone out there? HOW DO YOU INSTALL THIS THING?!?! The video showing how, using Red Guard, is now gone. I don't want to use all of your other waterproofing products. Can I apply Red Guard directly to this extruded polystyrene foam sloped tray or will it melt?? I know the old video showed how to use it without YOUR other waterproofing products, because that was BEFORE you started offering said products... but you really need to give SOME instruction on proper products to use THAT ARE NOT YOUR PRODUCTS.

So the set I got in this size has a low end piece that is grooved, like where you cut it out to place the linear drain! Where do I find THAT video?

He's advertising that he's going to install that like the Kerdi it is not true the Kerdi is an entirely better option than that first of all it's a bigger hole so the plumber can go back there and do repairs and the water is diverted away instead of trying to keep the water out it's just diverted away his idea is not going to work correctly and if you have a pump from a plumbing problem well you've got a problem

Wondering why they are call 'curbless'. The backend is 1 1/2" in thickness so unless the entire shower floor is lowered, the shower tray rises at least 1 1/2" above the adjacent floor and thus will need a curb? BTW I have used Trugard products to build 2 previous custom and large showers with great success. Great products at a good price.

That was my thought. If i have to do that usually skim several coats of allset on the schuter foam pan letting each dry in between then hydroban for overkill couple days before tiling it . just be careful and keep you slope correct. Always rock hard ..never had a issue

I would highly suggest you redo your video as what you are claiming in the video does not match your responses to the negative comments. You claim the rubber pans fail in 7 years and then in your responses you say it’s not the liners but the above them that is the issue. If you want tile guys like myself to be interested in your product, don’t start your sales pitch by attacking us. More information on your actual product and how it works would be helpful.
@billjohnson73475 жыл бұрын
Why would you ever mention a competitors product when talking about your own. That's just plain stupid. If your product can't stand up by itself it's time to move on.

At 0:09 it looks like you forgot to put the membrane on the floor before putting it on the walls. It's not green. I don't know what that surface it. It looks rust colored. So maybe it's not important to start at the lowest point and work your way up. Right?
