Oh wow. I appreciate whoever made this video. I finally see what it's meant by faerie fort, and that is important for me as I suspect we have them where I live but we don't know what they actually are, hence the wrong way to do things around them.

Hello Barry , Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍 I am pretty sure the stone huts at the monastic site are Beehive monks cells , similar to the ones on Skellig Michael and other places. Food would most likely have been stored in a souterrain , a stone lined under ground passage or chamber . This way no light gets in and it stays at a constant cool temperature. 🍀

Hi Curious. This was a fascinating visit to the history park. The monastic settlement was impressive, the tower and monk's cell particularly. Sorry the crannog was gone....I have a 'thing' for crannogs. The replica on Loch Tay, Scotland, burned 3 years ago, but a new, larger museum is now across the Loch. Hope to see it someday. The court tomb didn't feel 'quite right' as you said, but couldn't help but get a wee shiver when you went inside. Good thing you could warm yourself by the fire. Enjoyed this experience very much. Take care and Thank you. S 🕯🌑🕯

Hello Susan, nice to hear from you as always . 🤗 I also have a thing for crannogs , my dream home would be a modern version , on a small private lough full of Brown Trout..... Oh yes I was so gutted when the Loch Tay crannog burned , I remembered seeing it on an episode of Time Team years ago. I guess the idea of having an open fire inside a wooden structure with straw on the floor , was always going to be risky . The ancestors no doubt had similar accidents from time to time. I had a look at the new facility you mentioned, it`s is really looking good now , And I believe the construction of the first of three new crannogs started in May . I would love to spend some time in Alba , I used to be over 2 or 3 times a year , but not since covid . It would be nice to get over in the spring , if I do hopefully I`ll get to Loch Tay. Stay safe my friend.🕯️🌒🕯️ 🌻

I climbed up to the cairn on Mullaghcarn in March and intended to visit this place afterwards as it's just across the road from the forest carpark but I spent so much time on the mountain it was very late when I got back to the car. Looks really good for a wander around...is there an entrance charge? Nice to see you met some of the local wildlife too!
@TheCuriousCelt
@TheCuriousCelt 14 күн бұрын
Hello David , Aye there is a £3 charge ,payable at reception . I reckon it`s worth it , plus you do get a map. The Red Deer are in a pen and pretty tame. I think if the fawn hadn`t been there, one of the does at least may have came right up to the fence. After the park I took the scenic drive around Gortin Forest and stopped for a picnic at the start of the summit trail . I saw a couple of wild Sika about 20M away which was nice . Also saw my first ever Red Squirrels . I don`t think I would make the summit from the main carpark, but I wouldn`t mind doing the last section sometime. Did you get any drone shots of the big girl ?

@david_v2.1 14 күн бұрын
@@TheCuriousCelt it was so cold up there with a good dusting of snow on the summit and the wind was fierce and biting...I could barely keep my hands out of my pockets longer than 5 seconds, I just got a few pics plus some video clips and left inside 5 minutes...couldn't wait to get back to the car! might see if there's enough footage for a very short video.

Solstice Greetings CC! 🌞That was an epic and awesome film and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 👍 I don't know how you manage all those cameras at once, but it proves you are "physically" alone. The stick figure captures were great and most interesting, especially with the positioning of them. As for the Many bleeps and communication, I think spirit may understand your intent and consciousness rather than the language you speak. Love & Light has no boundaries. I could see the many emotions you went through as the episode went on. You are clearly Empathetic. I found your time "just being" very mindful and I too went through many emotions as I watched. The Ancestors always choose the most exquisite of landscapes and this place does not fail to impress. Seeing how it would have looked was both informative and sad as so little remains today. This was an Excellent film CC and I look forward to the next. Brightest Blessings To You & All Your Subscribers. 😁

Funnily enough a helicopter flew over me when I was there, I thought it might have been a coast guard helicopter. Music is the universal language and the most basic form of that is a rhythmical beat...have you thought of bringing a bodhran and tapping out a rhythm to see if you get a reaction, maybe it is something they would recognise...I think you tried the jews harp before at Carnanmore didn't you? That was a cool animation showing it with the mound and kerbstones Great video!

No way... what a coincidence...🚁 . Maybe it's common, there's a lot of millionaires on the north coast. Yes ... great suggestion re the drum , it's something I would love to try , I was thinking more of a shaman type drum rather than a bodhran but it's academic as I don't have access to either. I tried a little bit of drumming music from my phone at Knockoneill , but I don't think the spirits were impressed.😆 Not enough resonance. I"ll put it out to the universe and see if one comes to me.🙏 Glad you enjoyed the video, gonna try something similar at Ballypatrick next chance I get.👍🍀

Hello from Washington State, U.S.A. It's 2 a.m. and I'm up because I felt the need of a cup of herbal tea and a bit of time to myself while my life partner is asleep. Yes, my interests include all those you mention in your channel description. What caught my attention to your channel was the mention of Co. Antrim because it's the place some of my ancestors left to come to the states in the 18th century. And just as I had learned this, a Time Team episode featured a Neolithic hilltop settlement along this same Northern coastline of Co. Antrim, perhaps not far from Mount Druid? I find myself very drawn to that era and in that place. More, I fell in love with Great Britain as a teenager when I spent 6 weeks there studying British Lit. and seeing the sights including Stone Henge. That was 'back in the day' when a person could walk among the standing stones. I knew right away the feeling there was different, but I was too young to understand it. Now I do. I didn't know white quartz was sacred to the Ancients, but I've collected it all my life. Raised in the Episcopal Church followed by exploration and practice in Eastern spirituality, now in my '70's, I find myself more drawn to so-called Western Pagan spirituality and practice on my own. I've taken up herbal medicine and spending as much time as I can outside in the woods and fields. I know I'm doing what I'm meant to do now. Learning, yes, and also communing and celebrating our Great Mother. Love Her and she'll love you in return. Peace and Blessings to you and yours. May we meet one day in the clearing at the end of the path.

Hello Curious. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience. It's a strange feeling, but I also sense the emotions of the spirits when you are connecting with them. I often shed tears during your investigations. Desecration and destruction to the ancient burial and gathering sites is quite upsetting and I wonder why I am so touched by it. Your ending ritual is important. Do you ever offer flowers to the spirits as symbols of peace and gratitude? I truly believe that what we find beautiful in Nature are the very same things our ancient ancestors considered beautiful as well. This longer video was lovely and I look forward to another. I was so glad to finally get up there David , I sometimes feel drawn to a sacred site for some reason and this has been calling me for a few years now . I spent about 4 hours up there when I went back , it flew past pretty quick I was so involved in the whole experience. After doing some more research and reading the original report from the archaeological excavations in 1939 , I am surmising that the two spirits in the video are the souls of the two people for whom the tomb was built. I have a lot of footage from 5 cameras to stitch together so get in some snacks, the next video could be a bit longer than usual. 👍🍀

Yes I know how you feel...it is one site that I will definitely return to at some point. Looking very much forward to your big video on this tomb! Have you ever dowsed at these sites? I've just watched a video of 2 guys dowsing at Avebury...very interesting responses on the rods! I downloaded one of those SLS apps today and walked all around the house looking through it. Nothing significant although it briefly showed a stick figure each time a guitar came into view...I live in a house full of haunted guitars 😆
@TheCuriousCelt
@TheCuriousCelt Ай бұрын
@@david_v2.1 😂 ...aye , the same thing happened in my house, mapped in the odd piece of furniture and the antlers I have on my wall . But it usually maps out the shape of the object. Can be a bit glitchy as well , but hey , it only cost a couple of quid. A proper SLS set up is around £300 upwards. Been curious about dowsing for many years, I still remain hesitant to do any sort of divination from dowsing to Ouija Board to Spirit box etc, my belief is that divination opens the veil to the Spirit world and sometimes negative things can come through and make your life hell. That said, dowsing is an age old skill that has in general been a benefit to people. Still curious,but I would need to learn more about it.

An immigrant camp was proposed to be built on the site of two fairy forts in Ireland. Consultants and construction workers from England were brought in and either not knowing or caring about the ancient folklore, disturbed the forts. This morning, it was reported a major accident occurred at one of the sites, with ambulances and a helicopter needing to be sent in so it must have been serious. Check out their website for details. The lens seems to give a good 4K quality FS image in my limited tests , but I found it a bit of a faf fitting it as the lens is hard to grip being so small . Still ,got there in the end after a few trys . The FS video in sunlight is pretty trippy ,😵😵. And you can get some creative photos as well. In modern society it’s easy to be sceptical about the existence of faeries and to call it nonsense, we nearly all have a computer of some sort and can “ fact check” everything. It’s hard for us to imagine living in a society without formal education, without books, without shops, without knowledge of the world around us apart from our locality and our elders knowledge passed down.Imagine that and trying to make sense of the world around you. I’ve recently read some of the fairies stories from around Ireland that are dating back well over 1000 years. They deal with human emotions, love,hate,envy,revenge,fear,bravery,cowardice etc and give an insight into how people lived and perhaps how they taught people to interpret their emotions. In a time with no maps they talk about geographical features that exist to this day. There is a cave in Co. Roscommon that was known as “ Ireland’s gate to hell “. During Samhain or Halloween the veil to this otherworld was weakened and that when night fell daemons would issue forth from the cave and roam and pillage the land and crops. A good way of keeping children away from the cave perhaps !
