I think Mathew is one of Ian Barseagle's consultation call coach because he talk about progressive overload, only 2 exercises per session, same as Ian

16:08 Do you think someone who only does lat pulldowns can improve their pull ups? or someone who only does shoulder presses can improve their handstand push ups? its same with the push ups.

I can't planche but I did front lever on my first attempt without even training for it and I've only worked out for 6 months

Isn't dead planche more a stress on the biceps muscle and tendon, as well as the wrists rather than the shoulders? From my experience that's what I found
@BradleyGibbs11 күн бұрын
That depends on your weakest link
@aloci337010 күн бұрын
@@BradleyGibbsOh interesting 🤔 can you elaborate
@BradleyGibbs10 күн бұрын
@@aloci3370 If you have incredibly strong shoulders but never do any straight arm loading, your biceps tendons will likely be the weakest link. If you never load your wrists past 90 degrees, they may also struggle when you do planches on the floor. It all depends on your experience and what you have trained for.
@aloci337010 күн бұрын
@@BradleyGibbs🤔 I have a very strong supinated back lever with ankle weight, wide supi back lever and an iron cross. But I still feel the dead planche more in my biceps tendon and muscle even tho they are really conditonned. I always felt like my shoulders were my weak link

If you aren't below 165 cm and 70 kg it will take a while, especially if you have bigger calves and legs

Rid yourself of this mental restriction, brother. Calisthenics is much more a mental game than a physical one. If we’re trying to create freedom of movement, this should be congruent with our being, chasing freedom in all aspects. Have fun with your training and do what you love. We don’t need to be the best. But we should try to be OUR best. Much love and gl ❤️

Well, with calisthenics you don't get a lot of muscle. Max does streetlifting, not calisthenics. Gornation, a page like you, should know that "weighted calisthenics" doesn't exist.

Compound lifts and weighted calisthenics seems great
