Thanks for this. Doing my second tire change, and it seemed at least one of them needed to come off.

Great info. Leaving the rear foot on keeps control of the board so simple to master. Looks smooth, and a professional move at an intersection. A small town. Everyone notices a Onewheel. That is the beauty of a GT. At 64, rolling around town, a clean dismount, while waiting on a light to change, is vital. A board rolling into the path of a car going 40mph could be costly. Keeping the rear foot on is my new normal. Great tip. Thanks.

@@Onewheeel It's one of the first skateboard tricks you can learn. You place the board upside down, slide both feet under the board (so the grip tape is touching the top of your shoes), you jump up to flip the board over and land on it. kzfaq.infooNb66X3IWUc

This is sick as hell. I want to try tricks like this but I'm afraid of breaking my board. How many boards do you run through in learning tricks like this?
@Onewheeel
@Onewheeel 11 ай бұрын
I used to break a lot of boards, but now I learn tricks on grass and place down a 1/2" hard rubber mat that absorbs the crash energy. Saves the board and my almost 50 year old body.

Hi Chris. Great and informative video. I have been trying to modify a self balance scooter using a Gotway controller and no luck. The Gotway controllers aren't compatible with any hub motor. After watching this video and a few others, I now see that this is the solution to my own obstacle. What do you think about the Trampa 100 volt vesc? I was advised to get that one. They are very costly too at around 400$. Should I get the FOCer or Trampa. I just need it to be rated at 100 volts that's all. I need ample power And not to mention the price. I'm trying to spend no more than 200$ Thanks

I've got a nearly complete build and it rips! Super torquey, flies up hills (within reason) and feels rock solid. Lilfocer 3.1 w/printed box 18s2p p42a battery (75.5v) w/ZBMS in Badgerwheel torquebox Stock XR motor Thunder rails BANG front / Badger bumper rear Kush wide ignite hex tape Hoosier FF2 treaded Planning on remote tilt. I'll install it when the BMS arrives then this thing will be finished. This makes a stock XR feel almost toylike, especially for someone of my size. I'm 6'6" 240. I'm not only heavy but I've got a higher center of gravity than a shorter person of the same weight. The VESC makes me feel very confident because of the sheer current it can pull, even using the stock XR battery and motor. VESC the planet!

Mine died on me yesterday after riding only 3.5 miles on a full battery. (They're supposed to go 6 miles) I had to carry it back walking through sand on the beach. The belt buckle method is okay temporarily, but just like every other position it starts to suck after a while. There is no comfortable position to carry these when you're walking that far with it.

always great to see dudes in their 40s strait rippin it. im on board with vesc next season since im hating my GT. Does the FOCer give your XR style board more juice at the wheel. i just want a little more punch and something that would handle a larger battery without burning a BMS.

Love your riding style! Always good to see a new video. Your videos are some of the first I used to learn to ride from. So thanks for that. Bottom line with FM, I purchased an EUC instead of another board, because of their battery policy. So VESC is not their only worry. Here's a thought, if FM were to come out with an EUC, along with all the anti-tamper crap, how long before they get out of the EUC business?

Is FOCer the hardware -- and VESC the software? What is most difficult about making a conversion from an XR or Plus to VESC with FOCer (or otherwise) ? I have a Plus that has a JW battery upgrade and thinking about making a move when this 58V battery gives out so I can have more control over shaping and real-time low battery warnings versus out-of-the-blue shotoff (at 43V)...
@Onewheeel
@Onewheeel Жыл бұрын
The FOCer is the controller hardware. VESC is the software that runs on the controller. The most difficult part is building the controller into an enclosure. Once that's done though the rest is easy.

Thanks for this video! I haven't ridden a VESC, but my impression was also that it was "not ready for primetime." But then I read about the latest update, and then I got very curious. Hearing that it's a gamechanger from a high mileage rider like you means a lot. I really want a board I can beat up on and ride in the rain (after siliconing) knowing I can just buy parts when something inevitably goes wrong.
@Onewheeel
@Onewheeel Жыл бұрын
I still avoid water but the ride of the Little FOCer with the new V6 or ATR 22 software is ready for prime time. The user interface is not ready for prime time, but if you can get it set up well it rides dreamy.
