Man, your reaction and commentary was fantastic! No, I don't think I'd go to the moon, it's like a vacation in Hell, but less inviting. Area 51 supposedly tests and reverse-engineers alien technology, but is most likely a secret test facility for the likes of Skunkworks, Raytheon and other big MIC donors...or all of the above LOL. There's mostly misinformation, with nothing concrete to show.

100% agree w u about the president being selfish by going on the mission. He was the only parent left for his daughter. I haven’t heard anyone else say that.

I'm not well versed in editing and avoiding copyright etc, but is it possible to alter the sound cutting out so abruptly every few seconds and instead have a more gentle raising and lowering volume? Not complaining I love all your reactions, it's just a bit distracting 😅

I first saw this opening day in downtown Burbank CA! 🎉 When the News castor said “Los Angelenos please do not fire your guns at the spaceship…” everyone cheered so loud you could hear it from outer space! 🔫🫡😂🇺🇸

I like watching your reactions. And normally I don't have problem, but the editing for this was really disjointed. Leaving out several integral parts of the story. You even left out the President's speech. Did you have a substitute editor or something? Cause this was really unsatisfying. And what was up with the sound being so choppy? Why did your editor do that or allow it? I expected better. Sorry.

Man I remember the first time I saw the trailer for this in the theatre. It was a movie I had always dreamt about especially with updated special effects. American fighter jets vs UFOs. And since there was not much of an internet back then, I recall nervously listening to my radio to get first impressions from movie goers who went to it on opening night lol.

Hey Devin. I have a curiosity question for you. Is there a Discord full of only reactors/creators, where you guys strategically put out the same video at roughly the same time? Within the same week or two. For the last year or so, I have seen the trend where one KZfaqr (big or small) will put out a video, and then all of a sudden a half dozen other reactors will put out the same movie reaction. It is happening right now with Independence day. I understand that today is July 4th and it makes sense to watch this movie, but it has been happening with other movie reactions as well. Just thought I'd ask. Thanks.

In regards to the President going out to fight after his wife's death, there's one thing you have to take into account: He is a father. A loving parent will fight tooth and nail for their child. It's why Russell pulled the sacrifice (because if he didn't, then all of humanity, including his own kids, would be wiped out). Yes, he lost his wife, but in the grander scheme of things, he did it to protect his daughter and humanity in order for there to be a future with the human race there.

Apollo 11. Each ship was 15 miles across. They all fit onto the mother ship. Normally, Id agree with you about the Prez risking it, but the Earth was going to be totally destroyed with all life as well, so ultimately, it was do or die.

It's funny how this was totally the story made by an English chap written almost 100 years to the date a bout some aliens invading. Human tech blows, n it takes a virus to help r ass. Oh... War of the Worlds. Maybe Hollywood folk should psychoanalyze people before they make a terrible sequel or re-thing with this as best example to do ás such.

"I always expected there was a countermeasure for something like this." What kind of countermeasure do you think we have? You assume way too much of us as a species. We can't agree on whether climate change is real or how to deal with it. We weren't even prepared for COVID. Why would you think we'd be in any way ready to take on another massive existential threat like an alien invasion? History tells us that the side with the superior technology and weapons usually wins a conflict. If an alien race that is so technologically advanced that they are capable of interstellar travel decided to invade Earth tomorrow, we'd still have no shot of winning. There is no feasible countermeasure for that. The only reason the humans win in this movie is Hollywood cinematic convenience.
