No disrespect at all I'm serious when I ask this, was the owner adopted, or is he just the lightest skin black man I've ever seen in my entire life?

I wonder if she out lived her daughter. Or her daughter isn't doing well and can't get there to go through everything.

I enjoyed your video very much. It breaks my heart to see what once was a beautiful house gone to ruin. It's too bad they just didn't hand the keys over to someone who would have taken care of it.

The house was expensive to build. The Medicine bag in the closet, the glass syringe, and the pharmaceuticals indicate that the man from whom the house was or may have been inherited could have been a doctor. I wonder if the portrait by the front door is the doctor himself. Also, it isn't random or odd for a gun rack to be by a front door. That is where guns were kept for centuries, so that if you needed one, it was handy. Very, very common location for a gun rack to this day.

You should just do the tours and not talk politics. Nothing wrong with General Lee or confederate flags etc… it’s all part of southern heritage. Things have to happen like wars and uprisings for history to happen. Besides it wasn’t about slavery. Lincoln used that as an excuse. He owned slaves also

I never understand people wrecking and defacing (tagging, etc.) someone’s property, abandoned or not. When I was little, my grandmother used to take my sister and I exploring in old buildings, places we weren’t supposed to be. We’d walk through, making up stories about who may have been there, etc. We never moved, destroyed or took a single thing. This was a unique and special exploration, and I appreciate the care you took presenting it. You honored the family who lived there. Thank you.

The house by the stables was probably occupied by staff that looked after the horses.

Those closets are the size of British en-suite bathrooms. If the house was in the UK, it would be occupied by squatters.
