Ok, I don't where else to go with this so despite the age of this video someone will see this. Has anyone else noticed how _weird_ BL2's shotguns are? In most video games shotgun spread works simply by drawing a cone for the pellets and they tend to fill out that cone with a pretty even distribution. But in this game it looks as if there are _two_ cones?? The first cone is like any other video game shotguns' cone, where it's used to define the accuracy(read:effective range) for your shots-from a wide spread to a tight spread-but then when the shot is fired the pellets don't just spread across the surface area of the first cone, instead they're grouped together in like a second cone and *that* cone randomly picks a spot within the first cone to send the pellets to, creating a weird effect where the pellets might only occupy a small region of the first cone instead of being spread out reasonably.

And used it on Salvador the extra balls crit all so billa s of damage

The welcome back in the second segment confused me only because I stopped the video and came back to it the next day. I am on mobile and it keeps where I left off. If you hadn't pointed it out I wouldn't have noticed and that confusion made me giggle.

It really pains me that she's so poorly put together as she's legitimately one of my absolute favorite characters in the whole Borderlands series. I do find Conference Chaos to be fun (basically where spec half/half into Shock Gaige and Anarchy Gaige and just go crazy with a Shock Conference Call) but I do genuinely wish a lot of her skills were at the very least buffed if not rearranged and/or replaced. One comment I saw either on another video or in a Reddit suggested that "Rational Anarchist" could either give more Anarchy or FULL Anarchy and be put as either the Capstone or cost more Skill Points to max it out. My Personal Suggestion would be to actually not swap DT for Anarchy but instead make Anarchy affect both Gaige AND DT and move "With Claws" over to Deathtrap to increase his Damage and Survivability due to it's Healing Properties

7 years later and these guides are still incredible, especially the detail in the actual mechanics and damage formulas. Not just "this skill does this", but why it does and how you can take advantage of that. Even learned a few tricks relating to BL2 from these, which I'm much more familiar with than TPS.

Being able to make a good weapon mod that functions well and is still properly balanced is an art form.

Thats why I only use slag weapons only for mobbing because you dont have to switch. You should try a slag butcher when mobbing. And of course make sure you land crits.

They could have just matched Hyperion shotgun rate of fire with sniper rifles and it would have made sense from a design and lore standpoint.

When I play this game for the first time I chose axton and really fell into that trap of oh only certain gear is good at UVHM like I suck at this game I'm relying on the B and the sandhawk for everything. Then I deep dived on all of axton skills and synergies and learned how busted he was with explosives and how many weapons in the game were boosted by grenade damage and really started to take advantage of that and it totally changed the way I played axton and changed my way of looking at UVHM and op levels. No matter what game you play and no matter what character you play just figure out what works best with that character and then tweak it to work for you.

That 13.6 drop chance is a lie I’m at 20 runs and I either get a CoV LMG or other world drops no Sledge

Nice video, if I may say that she is not that bad of character because I played as her at one point in time, and her skill tree I can max her out entirely and she's good at everything but the first thing I invest in is her orderd chaos and then go from there.

I'm using Rustler's Orphan maker ... One shot reload , repeat ... yes it damages your shield (or health) but it one shots almost everything

I love that you bring attention to the fact that anything is viable if you understand the game mechanics. UVHM is super easy. Slag, and match elements to enemies, and score criticals whenever you can, and take advantage of the synergies with weapons and skills. It's so simple but people sometimes are brain dead playing these kinds of games.

The claws capstone is so stupid "Yeah lets run up dircetly in front of the enemy to do a slightly boosted melee attack instead of using the close range to shoot them with my gun which already gets a 3 times higher per stack damage increase than my stupid melee attack

Fuel the rampage is amazing once you have so many BAR stats that you never really get down to 30% health

Super old but I love coming back. Sub-Sequence would be amazing if it was a one point game changer, gave you wreck/chain reaction/etc even while searching a new target and immediately looks for a new target after phase locking an enemy who can't be picked up. Even if it wasn't one point I'd dump all five in just to get wreck on boss fights.

I've only played on one character from normal mode through Tvhm on this game so far, but EVERY AR I found was underwhelming compared to my other gear

Also if you go to the tab to the right it resets the guns you picked up

Very detailed. I really appreciate all the information you have on all the characters. I feel like most videos just give very brief descriptions and don’t get into the details and how they will affect gameplay. I’m getting into borderlands pretty late, but I’m definitely enjoying it. Maybe next time wait to do videos until you don’t have a cough though. I could barely get through this video because of all the coughing and how close you sit to the microphone. I’m not trying to be mean. I really like a lot of your videos and I’m playing as Maya and really want to listen to this video, but it’s rough. Other than that I do really appreciate all the detailed information on the skills and equipment and how it all works together.
