Edible Moody Floral Printed Fondant Cake without Wafer Paper or Edible Sheets! (New Cake Trend?)

In this tutorial, I show you how I made this faux demo cake to be used at our Bridal Expos. These methods can also be used when adding a faux tier to a tiered cake in order to add height when no extra cake is needed. I also show you how to add any print you want to fondant without wafer paper or edible printed paper. I LOVE this technique and was inspired by @loveandcakechandler on Instagram. I just had to try it!

What clay cutting tool did you use for the impressions? Also do you make your own fondant or use store bought?

Thanks! Really any printer will work as long as it is only used for edible ink, and you can find the ink to work with it. I like the Pixma myself;)

Oh my! So I’m wondering the backing on a frosting sheet, is that acetate? I’m wondering if I could just use that. Do they make acetate sheets for this purpose?

Thanks;) If I need to insert them into the foam, I will drill a little hole with a thin tool, like a small dowel. Other than that, attaching with buttercream works pretty well.

What kind of printer and edible Ink do you recommend? I didn’t see it in this description. Maybe it’s in another video?

Sorry I forgot to add that:( I like to use a cannon PIXMA. But really any printer can be used as long as it has only been used with edible ink.
