What’s funny is the toggle switch on the ct861 makes it a superior tool alone. Milwaukee should takes notes. Owning Snap-on is more about precision than overall “power”. That’s the funny part is all these KZfaqrs do these “torque tests” as if higher torque means it’s better 🤣 My Milwaukee can bust off these lug nuts better than your snap on so mine is better hahahaha, Clueless. True professionals know what makes a good tool and it ain’t all about Torque

What’s the deal with the Milwaukee 3/8 stubby impact? No good? I’m debating whether to get that or the Snap on. I realize that when I need to get something done I’ll just grab my smaller 1/2” but the smaller impact sure is nice for most smaller stuff.

Traditionally the Milwaukee battery was the weak link for them, but the new high output batteries are showing promise. I have a m12 5.0 high output that I'm testing and so far it's living up to the hype. We will see if it holds up long term or falls apart like the old batteries

Those flex heads are made by Kabo Tools in Taiwan. There is not a rebrand for them. 😢They hold patents on a lot of the little ratchet parts. Kabo does not sell tools in America they only make tools for tool companies. They make excellent quality wrenches.

The thing about Taiwanese tools is they were China before we used China for everything. Decades now of institutional know-how in building quality tools. I prefer American but all my impacts are Taiwanese GP's and I love them.

The Mac Axis is my workhorse ratchet. I can put considerably more umph through it than I can the Matco ratchet. The Matco Ratchet especially for 3/8 and below, locking flex head is a phenomenal ratchet for low clearance. Half inch ratchet, I favor the Mac Axis because I am not as concerned about clearance when I use half inch. Mac and Matco are in my box, both brands, all three sizes.

I’ve found the weight of the swivel is my biggest concern. I like mine heavy. Cornwell have some of the heaviest for their size. It helps breaking fasteners loose. For small sizes I like the snap on low profile 3/8. I wear them out far to fast to not get the best for the money.

I have a full 3/8 and 1/4 inch set. Had them both for about 10 years daily use. I just bought backup set and replaced all the high use sizes of the original sets. I highly recommend these to anyone. Just be aware of their limitations. Don’t hammer the fasteners with these, stop and get a impact socket after a couple solid ugga-duggas and they will last.

What is the point of having this duo socket set if you have to get another impact socket to use it with a gun?
@joshbrown13818 ай бұрын
The point is thin walls for clearance issues. I use them on impacts all the time. I’m just saying these do t have the weight for heavy duty fastener removal. My 8mm &5/16 were replaced multiple times because I used them on a cordless impact.
@montevallomustang8 ай бұрын
Was it the 1/4 or 3/8 8mm that broke? I've been using my 3/8 sets with an m18 mid torque (which is as far as I know the strongest 3/8 impact) and have broke anything in 2 years.
@joshbrown13818 ай бұрын
@@montevallomustang I don’t think I actually broke any but a 3/8in deep 13mm. Most became loose. Starting slipping on the fastener. The 3/8in short&deep 8,10,13,5/16 The 1/4in I wore out the same sizes in short and deep. I was doing a lot of Jeep transmissions for a while and the driveshaft have 5/16 strap bolts that hold them in. I tore up all my duo sockets trying to find a good solution to remove them regularly. When I finally got actual impact sets to replace the DUO’s I noticed how much the extra weight helped bust fasteners loose. While the DUO’s can be used for impact use, they aren’t the best solution.
@montevallomustang8 ай бұрын
That is good information! I keep thr duo sets in my truck so I only use them occasionally, I never bought the 1/4 set since I already had the regular gp impact set.
