We can't give a simple answer, because it depends on which part of the board we are talking about. We can just assure that should the temperature reach dangerous levels, the protection will kick in. By the way, it's hard to trigger this error. In most cases, if something goes wrong, the electronic fuse will activate first, unless the ambient temperature is really, really high.

There's a cycle detection problem for some reason. Please contact our tech support at [email protected] and they'll do their best to fix the problem.

It's a standard V2 gearbox, so V2 Hybrid should work there just fine and without any modification. Unfortunately, we can't promise that there won't any surprising features there, which would require some additional work.

We have simply put everything together without the cylinder :) Piston usually sits inside the gearbox shell's rails tightly enough not to fall out.

Perun V3 Hybrid is configured using a multicolor LED diode, trigger and the selector, to allow fast and easy configuration anywhere, also in the field.

Please make sure that everything works smoothly inside the gearbox. You can do that by assembling the gearbox without the main and the tappet plate spring, piston in the forward position, and then spinning the motor gear manually using a screwdriver, bit by bit, until you make a full gearbox cycle. The gears should be moving without much resistance. Also make sure that motor's positon is not the problem. The motor being positioned too far from or too close to the gears can both cause such a problem. You can also look for short circuits caused by pinched insulation. @@perunairsoft4811 I tried again and it continues the same problem. All the 3 gears works smoothly together or separately. It’s like same security system blocks the motor. When I shoot one, the gearbox do one cycle and stops. After that, when I connect the battery, it doesn’t make the BIP sound. To make it works again, I have to remove the motor, force it with my hand to do one circle, and the system make that bip sound again. So I assemble the gearbox, and when I pull the trigger, it does one shoot and stops. All the lights are working perfectly, the 3 fire mods, the purple trigger lights, the gear cycle lights… but when I shoot, it stops. When I put the non-electrical trigger system back on the gearbox, everything works fine. 😔

It depends on what you mean. If want to install DSG gearset in a replica with G&G ETU system, then yes, that's possible and it should work just fine. However, if you are mentioning the Firehawk replica by G&G with pre-installed G&G, it won't work because the sector gear doesn't have cams used for cycle detection, and the replica doesn't have G&G ETU system in the first place.

Active brake is for motor overspin and precocking keeps the piston is the back position so its always ready to fire.

No, or at least not without major modification. There is a lot of material on the gearbox shell, which would need to be removed to make the Perun V3 Hybrid fit. You'd need at least a dremel, preferably a milling machine. Replacing the gearbox shell to a standard V3 might be a cheaper and faster option, though it might too bring some issue with compatibility with other parts (mainly selector parts).

It all depends on how do you want to use the replica with DSG, what your priorities are. Will it be fired solely on semi, or also on auto? What is the setup and what RoF do you want to achieve? Is the trigger reaction time most important, or something else?

​@@giorgoslir We would advise activating precocking for SEMI, and deactivating it for AUTO, while adjusting the RoF reduction so, that you'll achieve the desired rate of fire. However, in our opinion it is better to achieve lower rate of fire by increasing gear ratio or using slower motor, and making up for slower trigger reaction time by using higher precocking settings for SEMI.

It's basically the same electronics as V2 Hybrid, but Perun V2 Hybrid is meant for replicas with gearboxes in V2 standard, while V3 Hybrid is for V3 standard.

No, the Arcturus gearbox with microswitch, which is present the replicas without our drop in mosfets, is incompatible with V3 Hybrid. You could grind out the parts of the shell that make it impossible to install the Hybrid, but it will take some time, as amount of material to remove is considerable, and you need to make sure that nothing is touching the components on the board afterwards, and that's not always obvious that they do so. Another solution is to buy the complete Arcturus gearbox in Tokyo Marui standard, with our PE V3 mosfet inside, which is available separately.

Do you mean, whether the installation would be different? It might be, because LCT often uses 32:1 gears, also known as max torque or infinite torque. Perun V2 Hybrid can't detect those and they need to be replaced to, for instance, a 27:1 gearset.

Thanks so much for the reply I will take a look at the gears tonight, I was in fact wondering if the installations would be harder for any reason. For example the trigger is huge G3 style and I was wondering if that would work. Also how different might the selector sticker have to be.@@perunairsoft4811

​@@sebasscasey3908 Trigger is different on the outside, but the inner part which would mate with our magnet holder, has standard dimensions and will work just fine. We can't advise regarding the selector sticker, though probably the standard one (non-ICS) should be ok after finding the right spot.

Yes, the settings are stored even after you plug the battery out and then in again. To change them, you have to enter the programming mode and change them yourself.

Yes, but it's not recommended. NiMh batteries are a much worse way of powering airsoft replicas than LiPo in general, because they lack current efficiency. LiPo of similar size and volume is moch more powerful. You can use a NiMh, but make sure that it has big capacity (at least 2000 mAh, preferably more). A NiMh battery won't work with high speed motors and gears unless it's really big.

Without active braking, precocking would be much less consistent. When you have a very responsive replica, in which the gearbox cycle only lasts a few dozen milliseconds, you can't really rely on the friction and spring pressure for stopping the motor, because in many replicas the piston will be ending up in quite different places. In Perun mosfets, active brake is always active when using precocking, and that is regardless of your current active brake setting in the programming mode. However, the mandatory braking after precocking is also set to intermediate power, so as not to put too much strain on the motor.

It seems that it should work. Please just keep in mind, that we can never 100% guarantee, that absolutely no modification will be needed. In this case, the risk is rather low.

Sometimes there is a lot of slack between the magnet holder and the trigger piece. Gluing the sticker or two in, helps reducing that slack, making the trigger feel more pleasant for many people.

@@perunairsoft4811 thank you very much for the quick reply. i'm glad i don't need it, since while installing the unit, the clearence between the trigger and the magnetholder was so tight right away, that i squished the stickers and after filing away material and the clearence still being tight enough to just squish the sticker and scramble it, i got frustrated and left it out. the unit works nice, i just need to move the white selector piece a little, i think, because i can't access programming mode. was installed in an LCT AKMS.

To install ETU++, you need to have the "ETU" system in your replica. ETU system is made by G&G and is installed as a stock option in some of their replicas. It consists of an electronic board, special wiring and a set of mechanical contacts in the gearbox. To use our ETU++, the replica needs to have the G&G ETU wiring and contacts. That's unless you are ready to make a deep modification to the replica, where instead of using stock G&G ETU system, you would install custom switching and wiring. We describe how to do it on the last pages of ETU++ manual in PDF. That, however, is a complex task requiring time and lots of technical experience, and I'm only mentioning it for the principle.

In this particular case we didn't enable audio, because no sounds are supposed to be made by the board. You have a good point, that it itself might be an information for the user. We'll take that into consideration when making new videos for the mosfets.

It changes what the sector gear sensor detects as the end of the gearbox cycle. On both settings, with DSG gear in, you might have perfectly functional semi, but you should be able to observe that it ends the cycle in different positions depending on "DSG mode" setting.

You have to do it by trial and error. Our advice is to start with level 4. If there are double shots on semi, lower precocking level until the double shots are gone. If there are no double shots but you're not satisfied with the trigger reaction time, increase the precocking level until it's fast enough; or until you encounter double shots then lower precocking level by one.

The nozzle theoretically should remain in forward position after a shot, if precocking is disabled and active brake is on (especially on lvl 5), but certain characteristics of the build can cause it to remain backwards even with these settings: - weak main spring, - high speed brushed motor, - high voltage and high current efficiency battery, - delayer chip on the sector gear with a shape which causes the tappet plate to retract sooner within the gearbox cycle, - little friction inside the gearbox, which is achieved by good shimming and motor adjustment, ball bearings etc.

@@perunairsoft4811 Okay so, I took out the delayer chip and it still remains in backward position, I have a high torque brushed motor from element but I dont think thats the reason either, Im using an 11,1v 1100mah lipo battery so I dont think its very powerful, and the main spring is about 390fps and I tested it with m130 few minutes ago, and even after that its still in backwards position, and Im realy upset because Im getting double feeds because of that, So i have no idea what is causing it…

There are many more less common reasons why braking is not immediate - if there is more resitance than normal between motor terminals and the armature, braking will be weaker. It might also trun out, that you high torque motor is quite fast. Please keep in mind, that the videos of Perun-run replica having its nozzle remaining forward, you've seen online, can be of a replica with precocking enabled - in such case the nozzle will almost always stay closed. The fact that the nozzle stays in backwards position shouldn't lead to double feeding, and is actually something that many people are looking for, when fine tuning the settings of their replica. This problem has rather to do with the hop up chamber and bucking geometry and the nozzle length.

It would be best to use alcohol, either standard ethanol or isopropyl alcohol (IPA).
