Great video. I’m a glamper but people always joke about camping here on the farm

Nice video! My wife just bought this setup for father's day, I can't wait to get it put together and start cooking on it now. I'm glad she got the full insert instead of the smaller one. Especially with a large family.

Looks good but a lot of work I’m picky and my go to is dehydrated or frozen pre heat ghee in a nonstick misen steel pan add taters let them brown then slide onto a plate where I then flip it back into the pan then I dab real butter around for flavor salt then eat yummy

This is going to be really fun and exciting Neal! I’ve camped pretty much my entire life. Didn’t have the nice trailer until later years. Those breakfast ideas were awesome! Sitting around the campfire at night….relaxing. Looking forward to seeing what’s next! Cheers brother!

I'm glad we're not that fussy about HB's. I use a QVC hand crank shredder, dump and fry them directly into a hot pan with oil, without rinsing or drying. It may be that drying helps in keeping pan or grill hotter and that frying 2nd side a shorter time than 1st side is good. I can't find those prepared hash browns in milk-type containers anymore. They were quick and easy, open carton, add water, let absorb, dump in pan and fry.

Loving this new series of "Camping Cooking"! Forgetting things is part of the fun...sometimes! There is usually a camp store on-site for some of the basics. And the rain...well, that usually happens when you are packing up to go...nice, wet car rides...yahoo! 🤣

We love griddle cooking while camping. Last time we forgot the vanilla for french toast, so I used some of the french vanilla creamer for making the batter lol

I showed up for the skillet review, but I was plenty happy to stay for the frittata. What oil did you use alongside the butter and how long did you let it cook in the oven? If I were to add some type of fresh herb to it, like dill or tarragon, what would you recommend? Thanks!

Schmaltz (chicken fat) makes the best oil. I tried all the oils as well and I'm here to TESTIFY that schmaltz made the crispiest, least oily and flavorful browns.

Now that we know it's ok, I'd like to figure out how to connect that griddle to an rv quick connect. You'd have to get rid of the regulator there by the griddle since there is already one at the rv side. I have seen kits to convert the Weber Q grills, but nothing to convert the griddle as of yet.

I 100% disagree. I've actually watched the reviews of about 12 different brands of spaghetti sauce. All of them, the first ingredient is water. That's the first clue to avoid that sauce. You sound stay away from name brands. If you need the ease of convenience of fat heat sauce, look for the small brand names, usually their a higher price. These sauces are the best! If I don't make home made sauce, I always buy my go to sauce by Michael's of Brooklyn Marinara Sauce. I'll list lists all of their ingredients, tomatoes, fresh garlic, fresh basil, Italian olive oil, oregano, fresh parsley, and spices- Nothing else! I highly recommend you try this. I just brown my meat and add it. If you try it, let me know what you think.
@hush___gaming559810 сағат бұрын
Lol oh ya this sauce wouldn't be kid friendly cause the one I use have chucks of garlic onions and tomatoes. Thought I'd add that in there lol

Great location! We visit Fontana Village Resport for our event which revolves around the tail of the dragon. You may want to stop by that area as many car groups visit there for their trips. We go to WITW which is typically the 2nd week in April. Also great channel. I just got a Blackstone 22' recently so I'm still learning!

Grate your potatoes and put them in a bowl with water and just a splash of lemon juice, let them sit for at least 10 minutes, pat them dry and spread them out on a cookie sheet and coat them with some corn starch. Place them in the freezer for at least 1 hour. when you're ready to cook them use canola oil generously on your gridle in a spot that is around 475 degrees place your browns down and cook for 3-4 minutes, then flip them over on a cooler spot around 400 degrees and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

@@TheFlatTopKing of yeah! It's just funny. Like I mentioned in another comment, I bought the member's Mark 22-in portable griddle on closeout for $54 and it advertises that you can use 1 lb or 20 lb tanks. You would think that the more expensive brand would n't limit something like that. But like you say, sometimes it's best to follow the manufacturer

Great video! I'm watching it from my campsite in Texas. An idea I thought I would share. I prepped some of my meals before leaving home: I diced up.the veggies for fajitas and vacuum sealed them so they wouldn't stink up the camper and they didn't leak out everywhere. Same with the chicken, I slices it up and sealed for easier cooking once I got to the campsite. Oh, and I had butter!!!😂
