Yeah despite being an asshole he still has a good point about sinners and deserving to be there. Imagine of someone killed your family got sent to prison then after deciding they can't take it they want to apply to get a second chance by going to the best place imaginable and get out of their punishment.

That's not really it though. They don't get to go to "the best place imaginable" until they've been redeemed, which is the whole point of the hotel. Hazbin Hotel itself is still in Hell, so in your analogy it's more like the person that killed your family is still in prison, but the prison is actually doing something to rehabilitate them instead of making them suffer forever. Also the prison doesn't know if rehabilitation is actually possible.

@@SpiritOfGotham I didn't say I disagree with Charlie entirely but it is understandable to detest sinners in Hell if they were the worst humanity had to offer. Besides I don't think it would go well if a sinner was redeemed then met one of their victims in Heaven since then they would be like "the fuck?!" I know if someone brutally killed me or something else like that I wouldn't be very happy to know they were let into eternal paradise.

@@SpiritOfGotham Although they forcefully made him a villain and took the extermination of sinners and the refusal of those to ascend as a pure whim of the angels, he was right, they had a lifetime to repent but they did not, how many innocent lives? would they have ruined? whether murdering, raping adults and children, among other atrocious crimes. Hell in the series was just another slightly ugly place, it's not like they were tortured or anything like that, it's the very existence of the sinners that makes it even worse than it is. If the hell in the series really were a "hell", the sinners should be happy to finally be able to put an end to their "suffering", but that doesn't happen, right? Why aren't they suffering? Do you know what's the funniest thing? That in the series, IN THE WHOLE TIME OF HELL'S EXISTENCE NEVER BUT NEVER was there a sinner who had redeemed himself and had done ENOUGH to ascend to heaven before Mr. Pentious, it is not as if the angels blocked that way but rather we saw that There was always that option. The plot of the series is too forced On top of that, Charlie wants to use that method that has proven to be one in BILLIONS, to reduce the overpopulation of hell. How many sinners die every day and at what rate is it even possible for sinners to be redeemed? It's not even remotely feasible.

I also started liking him but my decision that it should be him came from the reason that I don't wanted Charly and Vaggy to split, Alastor can't leave their is to much to be uncovered, Husk as previous overlords probably has ways to defend himself, Nifty is just a riddle and had for redemption no chance I would say for the moment since we dont know that much about her. And since Vivzie basically confirmed HuskerDust the chance it gets them was really low. Sir Pentious was the only one from the main Cast left that could be it. But it's good that he's in heaven now since I also enjoyed his shenanigans

what if Lucifer, Lilith, and Eve made a plan together for them to change the tide or are working with God or a high-rank archangel regarding how sinners can be redeemed but none of them wants to tell Charlie anything because in ep 5 lucifer contacted someone in heave to open the portal so it had to be lilith because of the talk between Adam and lucifer it looks like Lucifer is still in contact with Eve who replaced lilith as Charlie mom because they both know Lilith cant leave Heaven dude to some reason which is no longer in effect cause Adam is died so yh im curious to what season 2 have in store

@@goldenindustries but lucifer is a seraphim. He can have his wings in or out, so can vaggy and the other angels. Sera and em just prefer theirs out. So pen could just not know how to bring his out if he even knows he has them yet as he JUST manifested.

Seraphim are born NOT made that much is obvious Just use the hell hierarchy as proof, high demons like stolas are way more powerful then Alastor, as he's demon royalty. Sinners can become overlords but never as powerful a high demons. Same can be said for the winners, who died and became angels, Adam likely got more as the first soul in heaven he was granted special privileges. But Seraphim are naturally occurring not created by death like the winners. Other winners could move up the rank but not as powerful as heaven royalty.

@@Lazyspaceout in the actual religion sure, be the same can be said for Angel's yet adam is one. And lilith became one, by the shows logic LILITH shouldn't have been able to have a kid, but she did. They flat out said adam was the first HUMAN soul in heaven after he died he became an ANGEL and a high ranking one. There is no reason in the show to believe pentious couldn't have reincarnated into a seraphim.

i think lilith made a deal with adam, he got to kill her people while she vacationed in heaven. since he's dead now and the army is pretty much done with the deal is no longer active. now that lutes in charge if lilith wants to stay in heaven she has to stop charlie from redeeming sinners

@@k2c534I have seen mostly all show which come from 2008. I know my stuff about this in order to make the best use of my episodic/long-term mind and great empathy towards almost every person. At the same time, he maintained a normal mental state. So I have to keep my mind always occupied with something. Due to the little problem since childhood with a split personality, I deal with it alone, since no one paid attention to it. As a schizophrenic even through the year 2010 until now. I am interested in, researching and devoted to almost all different franchises, Sagas, Series,... Through multimedia forms from the book/comics; movies/series; games; music/tributes;... And I'm glad that I had the opportunity to meet people like Czechcloud, Marleykkt, Bige, Herdyn,... I am very grateful because I only recently started to confide about it and not everyone takes me seriously. It's doubly so with parents, but I'm glad that my younger sister, a colleague from work and Czechs/Czechcloud understand it. It's great to chat here and there about how to live with such a problem. Although we take it as an advantage because we are never alone. And we constantly have something to think about, debate or decide on all sorts of things.

12:38 he still has some of his almost lost power at the time of the deal with Alastor. He even still has his own casino, part of which was torn off by Alastor for the Hotel. His casino was shown in the pilot and maybe somewhere else, although it may not work now without its part and Husk. But I don't think that's very, very strong.

honestly i doubt lucifer and lilith divorced I think she told lucifer she is leaving because she had a target on her back and didn't want to get charlie and him involved because lucifer is still wearing his ring, but lucifer and lilith told charlie they split to make her not to look for her mom who is in danger then lilith made a contract to give alastor power to watch over the hotel ( but I also don't think it lilith who is controlling alastor )

To me it seems like Lucifer knew nothing about Alastor before that meeting. Alastor was annoyed that he was not known by the king himself & wanted to fk with Lucifer about the role of Charlie's dad, cause clearly that is all he can amount to do infront of luci. Lucifer didn't killed alastor simply cause he thought that it might sadden Charlie if he kills one of her "friends". Lilith probably has a leash on alastor cause she is simply way more powerful than him but I don't think lilith was actually with alastor the way u might be thinking. I mean she was with the King at one point, she can't be aiming for someone who is much lower than any of the sins or the nobility of hell. Alastor is actually pretty low on the food chain of the hazbin hotel verse, he is simply a slightly stronger demon for the rulers of hell & high angels. It is cannon that Alastor is weaker than Stolas.

Lucifer's voice actor is Jeremy Jordan, who I know as Varian, from tangled the series. I am SO happy he is Lucifer, and honestly? I thought it would be hard for me to unhear a 14 year old but he actually sounds pretty different! His voice (at least in the singing) is deeper in my opinion.
