(which works in his case) - thanks Vic for putting me back in the closet.. and here i was about to begin this EPIC Vlog journey this morning... had my camera in the fridge, another in the trash can to dump the coffee grounds on even debated on putting one in the toilet but then realized i would already be creating a big pile of poopy so I just went back to bed... 😊

This is a superbly informative guide for a beginner. I was recently shooting video and noticed that the brightness fluctuates slightly. The picture gets slightly lighter and darker throughout the recording (a simple video interview with one subject indoors with artificial lighting on auto mode). Do you have any ideas on what could be causing this?

Thanks Steven. Kinda hard to figure out to be honest as it could be a multitude of factors, but if the light is consistent, and the camera is in auto, then I'd hazard a guess that it's the auto mode is a problem. If there's a window near by, that's not blacked out, then even slight outside light changes could arguably be an issue for the auto mode. I'd suggest trying manual mode and dialing in the ISO as well (instead of auto) and see how that works out.

@@VicBarry it all resonates. You've pointed out some habits that people do that are such bad practise. Like music choice, and making sure you're not waffling. It's a great reminder to stick to the point and don't be lazy. I enjoyed this video more than some of your tech ones, because some of the cameras you have, I don't, so the videos aren't as relevant to my learning.

Great points, Vic. I just signed up on Audiio. I love being able to use stems from the music. Stems are a great way of extending the tracks, too. RE color grading videos, I agree. I've watched videos with crayon like grades and its very distracting. I've turned off videos with really bad grades because of that. Thanks for some great suggestions.

There are a few talented wafflers, but it is a high art and most people can't do it. I think what most creators forget: they're either entertainers or educators, sometimes both and if your stuff neither entertains nor educates, people won't stay around.

I can only imagine if you had a PC that shows actual transfer speeds and UHS-II cards and/or CF Express cards to test the TRUE transfer speeds of the reader. I'm serious, I can only imagine since MicroSD cards are the SLOWEST cards by far out of all of these and can't be relied on for any sort of speed metrics.

I used an alternate version of the original pocket a palm or something, anyway I loved it but it died after a fair bit of abuse. Since then Ive tried various cameras to shoot my channel content with some like some not, but for what I do the pocket 3 looks pretty awesome, I'm close to diving in but first I'll sub and binge watch your tutorials cheers mate.

I have a GoPro 12 Black and I want to set the intervals in Time Lapse, however when I select the Time Lapse mode it has the four presets, and I can't locate where I can change the settings and duration. Where am I going wrong? Vehicle Lights Light Painting Star Trails Time Warp Time Lapse/Vehicle Lights It shows three dots, I can choose trail length; Max, Long or Short. Note - I have downloaded and installed 'Quik' and updated the GoPro 12 Black.
