Why didn't you keep that big fish to sell or eat? Sorry for the question as I'm new to fishing.
@MarcinKantor14 күн бұрын
Fair question. Fish that size will be likely 20 years old and have a great gene pool to spawn and produce many more Bass. I'm more interested in the survival of the species than having one dinner or a few euro!

One quick question. I have Braid on my spinning reel but it keeps tangling. Am i better to swop to normal line, say 10lb breaking strain?
@MarcinKantor20 күн бұрын
@sifishes no. It might be the reel itself eg. Penns can have the issue but most likely it is too much braid on the reel

Marcin how important do you think tide state is and also light levels?
@MarcinKantor20 күн бұрын
State of the tide is very important, but it is different for different spots. Fish tend to arrive in different spots at different states of tide depending on the type of group, water flow etc. The only way to find out when is it is to fish all through the different states of tide. Mornings and evenings tend to be better than mid day but not always

@@MarcinKantor I'm struggling ATM with getting takes, I fish mainly in sandy areas, any tips on what lures and how to fish them would be greatly appreciated. I mainly bottom fish with the usual results, however last year I switched to float fishing with either live sandeel or live joey on a very light setup and am hooked.

Fantastic video Marcin, spectacular action and very entertaining. There is a couple of points I wasn`t clear on if I may be so bold as to ask. First point it was a river in Italy you were fishing? ( If you just say yes that`s fine, I am not asking for locations}. Second point. what group of fish does the Asp belong to? I have never heard of them. Best wishes from a keen Bass angler.
@MarcinKantorАй бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it. I was fishing the River Po in Italy. Very good for asp, zander and catfish. Asp are very sporty fish, they are actually a member of the freshwater Cyprinidae family amond Carp, Barbel, Minnow etc. and the only predator in that group. Quite popular across the continent

Amazing. I used to fish with teasers, but this construction is way superior! And to make it easier: I first attach the knot/line to the hook and then I make the fly... After that I will slip the knot towards the eye and superglue it...

Got to be honest. I was catching way more fish before i watched your videos or anyone elses.... Too much time watching videos and not enough time fishing. If you've an occasion to come fishing Dingle Peninsula give me a shout. I can take you SUP fishing. It's a little less comfortable than the kayak. Or off the rocks or beaches. Very happy to share and definitely even more so to learn.

Some beautiful scenes on a great salmon river. I laughed when you were quietly speaking to your last salmon, encouraging him to give up and surrender to your net. I could hear you were out of breath from fighting the fish but also out of fear of losing it. I could see myself as I have done the same. I also fish flies but for steelhead in western Canada. There is nothing like skating a fly across a pool and watching a dorsal fin come in behind your offering. My first few times I snatched my tiny mouse imitation right from the jaws of one of the few fish that agreed to come out and play. I have spent many freezing cold and frustrated days on the river but when you finally bring those beauties to the net, we'll there's nothing quite like it. Cheers on a well thought out and enjoyable channel.

Hi. Came across your brilliant channel looking for videos on the Bote. Got a 12 footer running on a 10 hp, 2 stroke and use it in African waters. Its a bit risky here with the crocs and hippos but such a fun and convenient boat to have to get to waters larger boats can't reach. Hoping to get a 14 footer
@MarcinKantor2 ай бұрын
10hp on a 12ft is a lot! Sure she's flying. I was under the impression they recommend 6hp max... 14ft is obviously bigger but I heard it doesn't plane as easily as 12fter doss
