Walsh is Me Mother's maiden name. His name was John Patrick Thomas Walsh. He was of Wales. At 18 years he took a boat over da pond where he met his bride at St Paul MN (Agnes Egan). She was born at St Paul with both parents of Irish descent, so i believe I'm at least one half Irish. I never met my grand dad, as he passed during the year 1959, and i came along in 1964. Going around is for cowards. We expect our pilots to get it right. Its not rocket science. On speed on slope and get it down and stopped. Go arounds are logged and pilots are sanctioned if too many are done in any month and year. We have even fined pilots to recover money consumed by go arounds.

Good video but if you have a student you may want to talk less than 100mph first couple times. Remember you do this for a living and don't have to think about it.

All good. Notice it is a nice, calm, no wind day. Don't recommend aiming for the numbers and hanging out all the drag devices early. Aim for midpoint. Save your drag, slip if necessary, then configure when the field is made.
