Why braid and braid leader and fluoro and then hooksnoot? Why fluoro onto leader?
@thebeardedfisher22 күн бұрын
Hi Fazludin, I like fishing with braid as it's more sensitive than mono, there is no stretch in braid so you don't have to pull forever to break off, and when u break off it's 99% of the time your hook or sinker. Braid leader gives your braid top shot protection if you cast over a mussel bed or if a fish takes u into the rocks. I like n short piece of mono between the leader and trace to keep the braid leader from tangling with your swivel and trace in rougher water. Hope it makes sense.

Great man! Not easy to catch fish is those parts of the west coast! Eat about a video of a mission to Lamberts bay or elands bay?
@thebeardedfisherАй бұрын
@Mantie243 yeah I know. The last trip before this one I got 6 Galjoen and a Cape bream. Didn't expect anything, didn't even pack the filming gear. But this year it went a bit slow. I can definitely try Lambertsbay. Know of a few spots there.
@Mantie243Ай бұрын
I have a friend in lamberts that caught a young cobbie and 2 bus galjoen somewhere. But he keeps his spots to himself. Whant to make a mission there myself when I get a chance. Lots of unexplored areas from Lamberts up north

Nice presentation on the white muscles. Would you use that second presentation for kob more than the first one due to the movement of that foot?
@thebeardedfisherАй бұрын
Thanks man. Yes you definitely could. Perhaps do 2 or 3 mussels then to have a bigger bait. But I have caught young cob on the 1st one as well.
@deonzarАй бұрын
@thebeardedfisher ok but speaking about kob now, I believe the kob season has passed...but where do they go now in the "off season" ?
@johnlighton7025Ай бұрын
Mostly elf hangouts and nightclubs @@deonzar
@thebeardedfisherАй бұрын
Deon, people say the silver Kob go offshore into the deeper water and the Dusky Kob generally migrate up the coast towards Transkei to spawn in the estuaries.
@johnlighton7025Ай бұрын
I'm in hout bay. There are pictures of the old days of kob being trek netted off the beach here. They say there's 5% of the population left..

Im working a shutdown in Sasolburg and i cant wait to be done so i can get back home and just be at the ocean, watching you sitting holding the rod looking at the sun setting makes me miss it even more, we take the ocean and our sport fishing for granted at times, bieng in that moment makes everything bad in life go away.. fishing is not only about the catching its also and escape

@@thebeardedfisher I visit Doringbaai once a year and drive past Strandfontein. Never tried fishing there. Heard the locals catch mostly hotties off the cliffs/ rocks not so safe though. Trying to figure out where this spot is, I'll check Google maps. Do you get steenbras there too?
