If I have my traps flowing into my tank would I need another trap flowing to the manifold?

Seriously just said nothing… Hope you lost everyone once you said “rip it out”. Dipped after that, tells you all you need to know. Worst “tutorial” on how you are just “yanking things out” . Nothing worth value here. Why post at all.

Do you recall the top pipe that joins the pipe coming off the turbo and the pipe going by the lower radiator connection…. Do you recall it kind of resting against the one fan?

THANK YOU! This made it so much easier. I didn't break anything. I was a little fuzzy on your directions about taking the seat out as I watched the video but when I got in there it all made sense. Have had mice living in my car for a couple years and videos like this are helping me find everywhere they went and get it cleaned out.

Do you know why these threads on the mounts always strip?? Look at how tight your doing them!! Struggling with a bar that size means them bolts are way to tight. The torque setting from factory is to tight. Just feel what that poor 10mm threaded bolt is doing. A few more degrees and either snap or srip. So common on these as people stick to the daftly tight factory torque spec. 44ftlbs and 45 degrees is more than enough. The extra 45 degrees to make the 90 degrees on these bolts fucks them. Especially if they have been in and out a few times.

I've got 4k burning a hole in my pocket, should I pick up another MK4 or just avoid that? I had one once and the alarm system kept randomly going off when I tried to hook up the battery and then there was the shift cables detaching haha.. idk I love the way they look and love that plushy leather. The interiors are way nicer than they have any business being.

That’s odd. I don’t see how that could happen although these cars a notorious for electrical gremlins. I’d start looking for a busted wire somewhere or get someone to scan it with a VCDS tool.

I have the same setup and have a question about the divertervalve tube to the intercooler pipe since its just a giant hole and not a nipple where the tube can slide over like the n95!
@MK4Modder3 жыл бұрын
It should have a nipple for a vac line, if not you can run it off the exhaust manifold, provided you have you Air injection pump deleted.

Great vid man! I'm still in heavy research mode. I'm in a pickle on figuring out where to put a tank and compressor for a Smyth Jetta Ute (and not lose my spare) I know it's not optimal but I think because of space I have to use a small tank and 1 compressor. I don't want it in the bed , this is gonna be used for "uteing" stuff around😁 Haha this started because I want to level the back and not lose travel 😂

Nice I have a 2001 and want to upgrade some parts and things whats best to start with
@MK4Modder5 жыл бұрын
That all depends on your ultimate goal with the car. If you just want looks then I would start with lowering the car and slapping some killer wheels on it. If its speed you are after then I would start with intake and exhaust mods and a good quality tune. In the end, the car for me is an ongoing project, always evolving and getting better. Good luck on your build! Thanks for watching!

Well I want it all looks going to get it paint at income tax time and I wanna put some rims on it and a bigger turbo and a methanol kit
@MK4Modder5 жыл бұрын
@@DavidHernandez-oc7vr If you're going to go big turbo and meth, plan on doing a complete build. You will want to rebuild the bottom end because the stock piston rods on the 1.8t are the weak point. That is what has been holding me back on the big turbo. When I do it, I want to do it right the first time. Pull the motor and build it from the bottom up. Also just the sheer cost is holding me back too lol.
