Unwatchable, cook cameraman with his potato camera.

The camera operator needs to turn off the auto-focus. That's where all the 'clunking' in the audio is coming from.

Thay sounds like shit with all that slapping bullshit and no mest and potatoes.. You basically made the video sound like what the cab looks like here.

I have seen tons of live bands yet never seen one using the PJB bass amps. I'd like to hear one someday. Any big national band bass player using them?
@ansonstiles2 ай бұрын
I’ve got 2 of those NS basses. 5 string natural finish. Got the 6 string amber finish when they released it a couple of years ago. I’ll never buy another bass. Now bass amps are another story. Love the idea of this as a practice amp with Bluetooth! Been waiting years for the drop, glad to see it got released!

I love my C8 cabinet! I brought it to a theme park stage to play a gig, and even with only 250 W coming out of my bass head, I could feel the sound kick me in the back from 5 feet away. I can’t wait to get a BG 400 to get even more horsepower from it, and have a more portable option!

Love my PJB Compact 8. It doesn't have a sound of its own, it just reproduces what is sent to it. 'Straight wire with gain'

Its coming soon on the market not only a dual frequency band compressor but has inserts to add various pedals to each compressor making totally new and unique combinations of tone.

For more videos like this. The industry and the community really urge for experts like Phil coming on camera and shed some light with maturity and things that make sense based on physics, mathematics, eletronics, telecom and things like that. Each Phil's interview/video is a bless, and a relief for our musical production's ears. Thank you.

BINGO! in fact all these pjb demos all sound like crap.. people say all those tiny drivers actike a big piston and heat dissipation etc and all the demos sound like throwing pots and pans down the stairs while Seinfeld is coming in the TV.

For someone who spent his live optimising with sound, it is kind of ironic to talk about that and the audio of the video. At least the noise of the pumping camera auto focus ist gone in the last third of the video. Thanks for the very compact, very well explained and enormous amount of information. I'm wondering why the most relevant slide (at 33:01), that explains why to use smal drivers, is shown for a so sjort time, that you can't read it ;-)
@bobdimartino67385 ай бұрын
you really think the video production has anything do with him? do you think he set the camera up and sat down and interviewed himself?

I too am into single source, purpose built drivers. Anyone who has a pair of Raindow car audio 6.5’s know exactly what a smaller driver is capable of. Being a bass player myself with experience running live sound I still would never have thought to use such an efficient system for live bass reproduction. This is genius
