Nice job guys! I have an '03 4Runner with this engine but only 160K on it and at 77 years old I only put about 3-5K miles on it per year and that is all street miles so should last me another 21 years no problem ... except I may not last that long!

Nice video, Im rebuilding a 2004 Tundra 4.7L 2UZE also and this will help. I have two of them and will see which block is the best, the original one had a cracked upper oil pan which bblew into pieces for some reason. Asked Toyota about it since no crank or rods went through ?

Fun and interesting watching the process. The welding next to the paint thinner...that coulda been more exciting than the fuel line popping off. Heh.

Where are you located. I will probably be ready to add a pop up top in a couple months if you are looking to sell/build them for other van owners. My van currently has a fiberglass high roof that only gives 5’6” without insulation, so even less once I insulate.

My 04 has almost 300k. That's towing every week, hauling and doing contractor work for the last 19 years. It runs like the day I bought it. Just change the oil every 5k and timing belt every 120k. Amsoil 25k and transmission fluid. I'm doing some pre-rebuild research here. thanks for posting. I'm definitely not buying a 100k dollar truck when the day comes.
