I was such a fan of him from his Padre days, so disappointed when he was traded but he flourished with the Phillies. I grew a goatee and a mullet for the mid-nineties and will always be a John Kruk fan.

John Kruk is the original Jason Kelce type of guy in Philly. Beloved 30 years after his last season with the Phillies.

Oh see I thought this was a great game. But thank goodness the permanent bullied adolescents who make content on this channel convinced me otherwise. We ruined Gen Z w/ technology. Such a feeble, constant stimulation yearning, group of misfits.

Lmao. Even Pirates fans would not consider him a HOFer, much less a "Pirates Legend". Brian Giles had more of an impact on the Pirates. Let that sink in.

Lmao this one fooled me. Was not expecting the greedy capitalist owner angle 😂 Can confirm: there were no player/managers in the Gulag.

Serious question: was this topic made for toddlers or adults who started watching baseball less than a week ago? Bc a "fan" not being aware of how this can happen means they're not familiar w/ Fielding errors.

Lol. 1. Possibly the most predictable narrative/talking points for the "tech advancements". 2. Oh changes happened back in the 50s! Whew! see fans, youre just wrong or uninformed if you push back against any of the advanced metric capture in MLB. Ahh, im convinced to subvert my tastes now. Thank you for your influence.

Rey Ordonez is definitely the best minor league shortstop that was forced into a multi year big league career. Especially in this era, heard it wasnt filled with superstar shortstops.

Only Mets fans are delusional enough to romanticize a SS from 20 years ago who got the bat knocked out of his hands every at bat. Not literally knocked out of his hands, its an expression.

God that Phillies turf looked so painful. It’s better suited as a parking lot than as a playing field.

Lol. Watch out, SRS with an edgy critique! Genius concept to lean hard into pedanticism with the ultimate definition of "Perfect", vs its long held colloquial meaning in a "Perfect Game". Wow, changing the way we see the world one view at a time..."but really, lets be logical, what IS a view?"

Love Paul O, but in all fairness, he never had to overcome such an opressive obstscle like Jazz Chisolm's being teased by his older teammates. Lol.

Also, Williams is half Mexican and my family loved him because of the little pride fact. He felt he had to hide the fact do to prejudice and racism at the time. I always wondered if that haunted him and fueled his distaste for a lot of the system at the time

Translation: "Baseball's biggest star" = a convenient marketing prop for MLB and an early idol for that demented vocal wing of twitter pushing the delusion that any difference btwn men and women is entirely the product of a social construct and not biology

Its interesting how the amateur advance metrics guys are so exact with their data and holistic in their knowledge of effective strategy in MLB.. Yet lack the self awareness to realize they're presenting their case in an overtly smug and condescending tone...

Kruk was born to be associated with the City of Philadelphia. He may call West Virginia his home state, but we adopted him a long time ago. The man exemplifies everything great about baseball. He wasn’t just part of the 83 Phillies, he was the heart, body, & soul of the team. This man is a national treasure. I just wish he could still travel for away games because 81 games a year (give or take) is not enough time with Kruky.

In his recent time in the color commentary seat, he has become a little too much of a "back in my day" curmudgeon and doesn't know the rulebook very well but he was and is still hilarious and a very entertaining personality.

vin Scully was the most unbiased-home-team announcer. He had interesting and inspiring comments and antidotes about whoever was at-bat, and if you were listening on the road and missed the name you would know which team they were on. the closed he came to favoring our home team was a slightly more exuberant; Look who's coming up to bat! for Kirk Gibson's epic-career-defining at-bat. But just barely.

Running backs being devalued is one of the main reasons why I don't watch the NFL & havent watched thr NFL since the Eagles won their 1st super bowl 7 years ago. I grew up watching & idolizing RBs. Adrian Peterson, Darren Sproeles & Beast mode Marshawn Lynch are my guys. I could care less about the NFL now with them gone & the NFL not caring about the RBs anymore.
