Great video and suggestions for the next villain of The Batman II. I personally would like to see Clayface as well or the Court Of Owls. Any villain from Batman's rogues gallery would be awesome to see in the next film.

In my opinion Wrath should be the main villain in The Batman 2. He can challenge Batman’s physicality and wits. It would also provide more depth to Commissioner Gordon. In the comics Wrath was the opposite of Batman having parents who were both robbers and who were both killed by Commissioner Gordon when he was a younger because he gunned them down when they were escaping their home and mistook them for robbers. Wrath then became a gun for hire whose skills rival Batman’s. Exploring his story would make for a great movie and would work in the universe Matt Reeves has created.

You picked some good choices. I do agree let's not do Joker, we need to see other villains. I would like to see FireFly or Hush. I want it to connect to Bruce and see how it could impact Gotham. Clayface is definitely overdo for an appearance!

Basil Karlo Clayface (the non fantastical)...there's already a theme of theatre which pervades all Batman mythology (w/his parents being killed at a theatrical performance) which seems fitting. Reeves WON'T go as fantastical as the character from BTAS. Also Scarface could be great.

Sir, Matt Reeves says he wants to keep The Batman grounded. So why would you want Clayface or Mr. Freeze. These characters are truly fictional and should not be done because you will get a Joel Schumacher movie. The character that should be next is the battle for Gotham is Black Mask vs. Penguin. This will be for the fight for the Underworld of Gotham and it still keeps the movie grounded. I hope Mr. Reeves does not go for the outlandish with Clayface or Mr. Freeze would be a downgrade of the first movie.

Maybe a weird take, but what about a movie about addiction where the villains are adapted to fit as drug lords? Scarecrow, Mad Hatter and Bane for example? Maybe even Poison Ivy as well?

These are good ideas. I agree that the Joker should NOT be in the sequel, but for another reason besides the fact he's already been done to death. The smirking albino leper we saw in the cut footage of THE BATMAN is most certainly not the Joker. At least, he's not MY Joker. I'm sorry, but we'd need the clown, even if he'd have to be less goofy than even Pennywise. Jack Nicholson and Jared Leto have just left too much of an impression on me. The one I most want to see is the Scarecrow, especially since I enjoyed Cillian Murphy as him in BATMAN BEGINS. In fact, I'd prefer to have him in a different adaptation than this. I still yearn for a version of the long-awaited sequel to BATMAN RETURNS we were promised in the late '90s. (Sorry, but I was an enthusiastic tween in 1992 who was crazy about superheroes and supervillains.) THE FLASH just didn't do Burton's world justice. I'm dying to see - perhaps - Michael Keaton returning for one last hurrah, with Kim Basinger and Michelle Pfeiffer alongside him, Adam Driver as the Scarecrow, Alyssa Milano as the Joker's daughter, Naomi Scott as Talia al-Ghul (as Bruce Wayne's onetime wife, and setting up Ra's as the main antagonist of a Burton-less sequel), and Rami Malek as the half al-Ghul Damian Wayne, who would be the new Batman for the sequel. Sadly, however, I know full well that such a movie is extremely unlikely. No matter, though; I'll take Jonathan Crane in THE BATMAN II, or whatever this sequel will be called.

I hope to never see the Joker in the Reeves-verse. Overrated, over utilized and over exposed. The writers need to using other villains. There’s Clayface, Clock King, Scarface, Baby Doll, Black Mask, Killer Moth, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Rupert Thorne, Mad Hatter. Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze and etc. So many villains who have potential of telling great stories.

Clayface would be awesome. He's my favorite batman villain. Basil Karlo was originally human but he stole the powers of three other Clays including a female making him the ultimate Clayface. Another villain that would be interesting is Calander Man. Murders being committed every holiday. Each one based on the holiday itself

There’s an interesting internal conflict with the character. He could easily destroy the world and create it into his own image. He could easily crush Lex Luthor with his pinky. But he doesn’t. He still works hard to be the best he can be
