Thanks for the lesson .Do phase issues appear only in low/low mids ?
@AbletoninaMinute-ci3qq4 күн бұрын
You’re welcome! No not only in the low and low mid you could have some phases issues in the highs but they are not as noticeable as the low so we tend to leave them in the highs, as they are drown by the others sounds. But in the low, it’s really important to fix them to not lose the punch of your sound. Few instruments only sit in there, usually kick, bass, Toms, which are the core of your track so if you lose the energy around here it will dramatically change your track. 👍

I just balance the side channel and mid channel with separate mid and side EQ bands while watching the correlation meter. Instead of cuts I use bells.. Once I get the mid and side balanced with EQ compression I level the overall sound with saturation or bus processing.

Wait, how did you determine 6 LUFS @ 3:12?
@dalc1999Ай бұрын
The device was at -20ish LUFS when the audio started, then he pressed 'mono' and the device dropped to -26ish LUFS, therefore 6 LUFS.

Yes because you have to use the one that says « voxengo Span » not just « Span » itself. You should have it after that 👌

Not only will this NOT fix a phase problem if it exists but no professional mixes EVER did this... this is the dumbest meme about music production proliferated by idiot youtubers. Load your own reference tracks sometime and look at them in Span... they ALL will have stereo signal all the way through the low end. Delete this video.

@AbletoninaMinute-ci3qq2 ай бұрын
Pro Q3 would work good as well to remove Stereo content to the low end, but you always can find a way with stock plugins too 👍 anything would work really, just need to check with a visualiser and an imager to be sure!

If you walk through this example, one by one and show the audio having a direct impact each time you make a change, then it becomes meaningful for people. Otherwise, it’s just a recipe for how to bake bread, but it won’t work because they don’t have the same ingredients.
