Hi Kale! Good on ya, mate. Loved this video, it's very inspirational. You just gave me food for thought. ☺ Could you share with us the most interesting books you've read so far?🏄♀

Yeh if your leash is on the outside, you end up surfing with your foot looking like it has a tumor cause of all the water inside 😂 it’s pretty funny watching someone try to pop-up on a wave but their thic foot is too heavy

Wicked video - thanks for the consistently informative and digestible analysis! Have you got any tips for not putting the back knee down at the pop up, like with surfer 1? I'm at a very similar stage to them in this video, but am running the risk of getting frustrated by my back knee always going to the deck. Thanks 😇

The only reason local surfers are not friendly is usually because ppl don’t understand what respect is in surfing. If there’s a group of about 4 local dudes sitting at the peak don’t just paddle right to the peak. Sit on the shoulder and wait your turn. So what if you have to Catch the crappy waves, it’s not your break. Localism is pretty important in surfing, it keeps order in the lineup. Without it there’d be a bunch of clueless ppl all at the peak dropping in and ruining everything. Take Malibu as an example. Great wave but not worth the clueless mob.

I am an intermediate form Germany and surf only 2-3 times a year on holiday. So after 15 years of surfing I am still intermediate. BUT I found that less volume is actually better for me, as when I have a mid-length I cannot duck dive efficiently and get pushed back a lot, so the extra volume doesn't help me when paddling as I start to paddle some meters back from the position where I would have been with a short board. Yeah Catching waves is easier, but only on weak waves.

God I love days like this. Small, glassy but extremely fun with little barrels everywhere and hardly anyone out with blue skies to boot! So much fun, until everyone sees you getting all those little barrels and joins you.
