I love watching your progress. We are in our 60's now and my husband takes 4 to 5 times as long to accomplish any of our projects. We are just trying to make our living space we framed inside our pole barn that we put in 14 yrs ago into a livable space for just the two of us. All our possessions are in the garage portion of our metal pole barn. I wish I could get him to watch your videos so he would feel motivated to get projects completed. We're basically camping in our building as we do not have our well water plumbed and we have full solar, but also have yet to fully wire our space. We have a few lights, run our refrigerator, freezer and all-in-one Washer/Dryer combo, I hang clothes out on the line to dry except maybe the towels (hubby doesn't like line dried towels! SIGH) and we cook on a camp stove. But now we're looking for a used range so I can bake him things we'd rather not be purchasing!!! Anyways, Just wanted you to know how inspiring your hard working and cohesive family are to at least ME! I always say "be prepared, ye shall not fear" and so, just keep working on it bit by bit!

I hade a mate who was a plumber and he made the pipe leveling look easy. I helped a few times and he laid the gravel to the level before putting pipe in the trench and that went like a dream. I liked your approach as I did similar on some pipe that I laid. You guys are doing great. Man, you got to love the versatility of that backhoe, what a gem. I really liked the aerial shots at the beginning, just gives a scale to everything.

I'm glad to hear you're both on the downside of that bug. Sometimes our bodies have their own way of telling us we need to take a little rest. You've got me on the edge of my seat every video. No problem getting me to watch the whole thing. I love your innovation and how you're open to ideas. I can't wait for the next video.

I have to say you guys have the patience of Job. Also what great planning you have done to map out all the jobs in order of finish. I look forward each week to see what progress you have made. You are building a beautiful homestead and I look forward to see what it will look like finished. Did you ever think about the amount of boulders you were going to have to wrestle around? Hats off to all of you for taking on this challenge. Thank you for taking the time to allow us to follow along.

We all get sick sometimes and might get behind a little and your homestead and videos are very nice to see. I'm so glad that Logan and Natalie see the value of helping when they are young so they can get stronger and more knowledgeable about helping more. Thanks

Good idea to wrap the pipe. If you have to twelve it, the concrete is not stuck to it, allows it to flex a small amount, and every plumber I know does it that way.
