As has been said many times in this comment section, I've found the Stars' fanbase to be passionate, and classy. You were all very confident in your team going into the series as you should be, Dallas is a very good team with very few weaknesses and this series was hard fought throughout and could have gone either way. Dallas will be good for years to come and I look forward to next year's meeting.

Really great series.. Dallas came in WAVES tonight.. as an Edmonton Faithful I thought if Dallas could get one in, They would carry that momentum into an overtime… and also a possible momentum shift heading home for game 7… but I will say one thing about that team a lot of class.. Pavelski, Jamie Benn- but Johnston Hintz Stankoven Heiskenin and the BEAST Chris Tanev, amazing players and the young stars that are going to carry that team forward for years to come..

Congrats to the Oilers! I hope they demolish Florida. Now, for the Stars. #1) Why does Deboer wait until the 2nd period in an elimination game to re-unite Marchment, Seguin and Duschene? They had great chemistry all year! #2) Why are the Stars afraid to knock players on their ass when they are in front of our net? There are ways to do that without getting a penalty. #3) Where the hell was this effort in games 3, 4, & 5? So disappointing.

It's absolutely laughable how fixed these games are in EVERY major sport. It started last fall with the Texas Rangers tearing through the playoffs going an unprecedented 11-0 on the road knocking out all the top seeds, Arizona was the same way in the NL. Then you have the Mavericks storming through the post season knocking off all the top seeds from the 5 hole. Now somehow after being down 2-1 in the series having dropped 2 straight and being behind 2-0 in game 4 MIRACULOUSLY the Oilers go on a ridiculous tear out of nowhere and somehow the #1 seed Stars with the #2 offense in the league and one of the best defenses suddenly completely stop playing offense AND defense and get outscored 10-2 over the last 8 and 1/2 periods and lose 3 straight for the first time ALL YEAR!!! It became overwhelming obvious the second online betting became legal almost everywhere and Vegas took over. It's so blatantly obvious it's not even remotely believable. Sad day for all of the sports world, except for Vegas. But, when every government and social institution on the planet has been high jacked by a global cabal of criminals this makes perfect sense. #WAKETHEFUCKUPAMERICA!!!! You're being played like a fool and you're playing right into it all.

As a Oilers fan I can honestly say Stars fans were some of the most respectful and down to earth fans I have interacted with ,pure class! Never resorted to personal attacks or insults . Not like the toxic fans from the previous series ,won't name them but hint they burned down their own city 3 times when the Canucks lost in the playoffs. Hats off to the Stars and Stars fans ,world class hockey team and world class fans .

Grats on the season guys, you have a longer cup window than us Oilers fans in the upcoming years. Oilers were the better team in the series as you said, but the next few seasons are looking real good for the Stars. I hope Edmonton can take Florida, I honestly think this series showed if anyone in the league can take this away from Florida it's the Oilers.

I can't feel bad for the Stars Players, they not only let us down, but let themselves down, and can only blame themselfs, their coaching is definitely an issue. I almost feel like the Coach brought down Robos numbers this year because of his Coaching style. High skilled players like Robo were being asked to just be more of a TEAM dynamic Player where you pass the puck and play low risk hockey. Robos numbers suck compared to 22/23 and I blame the Coaches low risk, pass it around and no one gets to be outside of the box, type player. We need a coach that provides a system of play that allows talented players to evolve to being there best. His system almost encourages players to be mediocre and just rely on another player to pick up where they fail to produce. The Coach rarely benches his players, and thats an issue also.

Suter got the scoring going for the oil last 2 games due to his penalties. As a wild fan i cant say im not happy about it😮. But to score twice in last 8 periods is a testament to the oilers defense and especially Skinner. Panthers win cup

Oilers were perfect in 2 series on the PK. This isnt all on Dallas not scoring on the PP. Oilers PK and special teams in general are dialed in on a historic level. The series would have been less close if there were more calls.

Seems like as soon as Edmonton shut down the rink wide pass, Dallas took too long to respond. It also seemed like Dallas just hit a brick wall in 5 and 6

These teams were so evenly matched and it was tough for both to manufacture offence. The difference is the Oil have 2 generational talents who can create unexpected goals to give their team the razors edge. McDavids goal tonight was evidence of that, if Dallas had a player like that they would have won tonight. Good series, great podcast, enjoyed tuning in as an Oilers fan, honest analysis. The good news for the stars is a I think Wyatt is gonna be a game breaker and hopefully the organization can keep building solid teams around him when he gets into his prime. I watched Modano do it to us for years so it’s nice to finally be on the other side of the coin.

The better team won. Before the series, I thought our depth would be enough, but the skill gap between their best players, and our best players was huge, and it showed the entire series. I'm proud that the team didn't have another gutless performance like game 5, and they actually showed some fight. But when you score 2 goals in the last 8 periods of a series, you don't deserve to win anything. Especially when you give up 2 goals on 3 freaking shot attempts in one period. If it wasn't for the Mavs, I would be so much more pissed off. You had a 2-1 series lead, and a 2-0 lead in game 4, after 7 mins. What the hell happened? Stanley cup finals 4 years ago. 2 straight playoff appearances after that. 2 straight WCF appearances after that. And absolutely nothing to show for it.. So disappointing 😑 Edit: Yea, it could be worse. We could be San Jose or Anaheim, or Detroit this whole time. But it still sucks.

Agree, we should have won game 1. Wish Hintz would have been healthy for that one. And then of course game 5. That was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Wish Hakenpaa could have played too. Time to move on and away from Pavelski, Suter, Smith and Dadonov. Need some younger, fresh players that can withstand a grueling cup push next year. Like those guys alot, but it's time to move on.

Oil fan here, great series so far.😊 Jamie benn needs help. Robertson pretty good. Oil hit a new level defensively. Stu played really good. Classy fans dallas. Man Im so proud of how hard my team playing. Im not sure if dallas played bad or edmonton played that good. Dallas had a few good looks didnt pot anything. Its been pretty tight checking not much room out there. Tough going with 5d its gonna be a factor late in games. Johnston got a bright future. Wyatt now thats a texas name lol.😊

Dallas blew all their wad in the vegas series. A lot of their players are probably injured and out of gas. If it takes 7 rounds to beat mediocre oilers, you are cooked.

Dallas looks like the weight of expectations is too heavy, and mentally scattered. They look indecisive, trying too hard to get a perfect chance (over passing) and when they do, they can seem to find the placement. They are not playing fast and free, too worried about making mistakes which is tilting the ice against them.
