For printing those PowerKnobz, is it easily altered to print it at a 20-30 degree angle to have greater strength (less layer separation)? Printing parallel to mounting surface seems to warp overtime... related question, how does one revive old Clark pads that have warped over time? And, what's the best prep/primer for bonding to TPU? I was considering "contact cement" to help adhere the Velcro as well as possibly on the yoga block too. Alcohol and scuff-sanding may not be enough from what I've seen in the comments.
@Duf13 сағат бұрын
Yea I am aware of the advantages of printing on an angle. The part feels very strong though. I guess I will see once I install/use them.
@Duf13 сағат бұрын
I plan to start with just sticking the velcro on the back of a knob and see how it goes from there.

I love seated, it seems a touch more safe, though going fast seems a bit more difficult. It has been a bit since I have used it though. I tried getting off the T4 while moving on pavement and have my ankle sprained pretty good now. I guess I had forgotten what happens and needed a reminder. Nothing broken thankfully, except my ego once again.
@DufКүн бұрын
Many people claim they prefer going fast seated as having less surface area exposed to wind equals more speed. I can't imagine my wanting to go over 40 seated. Sorry to hear about the ankle!

We are twinning now!! Always appreciate the shout out bud. I'm a huge fan of the Clark system for the V13, seated riding is extremely comfortable. I'm finally back on my V13 and almost back to 100% healed so will be posting a new video in the morning. Let me know how the powerknobs work I would be interested in buying a set from you if you plan on selling them.

Seated riding is a major game changer. Being new to EUC riding, have found it to give the feet a break and continue to progress. Also nice to get lower when major winds. Glad I learned it early, and very comfortable doing so, and even transitions up and down at 30+

What a great vid! Just got one of these to learn on and l’m loving it! I have some questions for you if you have a mo: 1) I notice you keep your knees out from the wheel whereas I tend to clamp the wheel. Should I make an effort to relax and just control through my feet? Or is it rider preference? 2) Is that the Nobleman elbow and knee pads you’re still using? I saw your review vid from a year ago - glad to see they’re holding up well and presumably you still like them? 3) What helmet and gloves do you prefer? 4) What is the GPS unit on your wrist? THANK YOU for any help you can provide!
@Duf9 күн бұрын
My knees are away from the wheel because I am bow legged. It is better to keep them closer if you can. The V8s is so thin/light you can control with basically foot movement but with heavier/bigger wheels you can not. Yes still use my Nobleman gear, I like it. It's lightweight and comfortable. I have 4 different helmets for different situations. I like the Triple 8 helmets for lower speed stuff. I wear Nobleman gloves but they don't offer the best protection. The GPS is an old Garmin Forerunner GPS. It's ancient but works well.
