131 stage 4 , first of all I'm very sorry for your family loss (Palms 55:22) our God promised to help you carry this burden. That being said you will find much joy with that stage 4 Milwaukee eight. Be careful I have the stage 4 on my street glide it is big time aggressive and purrs like a kitten. Have fun!

Looking at the media used in these filters, I'm surprised any oil gets through them at all. The way some of this media tears so easily, it would worry me that some of it could break off and clog an oil passage. I think the best filter option would be a reusable stainless steel mesh filter. They flow 7 times more oil and filter 30 microns consistently. With this filter, I don't think bypass would be a problem.

Unfortunate that you chose to evaluate used Wix, K&N, and Amsoil filters. Should have used 5 new filters for a truly comparable evaluation.

Sir, can i put a hose on my Front cylinder Breather tube Down to the Ground? It keeps Blowing Oil into my Air Cleaner, and I'd rather not R&R the umbrella gaskets right now as im semi-planning to do the 1275 upgrade next year.
@HarleyDavidsonWizard
@HarleyDavidsonWizard 19 күн бұрын
Sure. You would want to keep both umbrella assemblys in both heads and keep both air cleaner breather bolts. Then just run the tube to the ground from there.

Are these the headers that have new catalytic chamber? Is there a way to remove catalytic chamber from the v&h pcx? I have a 2016 Road King
@HarleyDavidsonWizard
@HarleyDavidsonWizard 26 күн бұрын
This is an older video where the pipe doesn't have catalytic converters in it. I haven't looked at a newer Vance & Hines pipe to see how easy or hard they would be to remove. We don't sell much of the Vance Hines anymore. We mainly sell D&D pipes that don't come with them.

I'm not sure why Harley didn't put oroper fins on the bottom of the pan to dump the heat out of it. Has minimal ridges along that increase the surface a bit.
@HarleyDavidsonWizard
@HarleyDavidsonWizard 27 күн бұрын
There's little air flow down there as the oil pan is up inside the frame rail. I would assume that's why it has the limited fins.

That is the reason it costs so much to get things worked on in a shop is: Labor is not just man hours, it is all those tools that you do not have. Have you heard of the snap on man? The SNAP on MAN. That goes to every shop? You know what works, it is cool. You do amazing thorough work. Keep it up.

have just watched your video very through. Have a question what type of oil you use on the seal before installation. Will be installing the main shaft seal in the next couple days. Would like to use the proper oil for installation. Enjoy watching your videos! I know its been awhile since you posted this video. Thank you
@HarleyDavidsonWizard

I just use normal 20w50 engine oil. The idea is to keep the seal wet to aid in installation and have oil on it until the normal primary/trans oil gets to it.

Hey brad, awesome videos, Just a quick question on these Screamin' Eagle High-Capacity Tappets. What is your recommanded adjustment on them? I am running them at 3.5 turns on a 24 tpi rod. Just seems noise at idle. Thanks again for the great videos and information.
@HarleyDavidsonWizard
@HarleyDavidsonWizard Ай бұрын
3.5 is alot. U normally do 2.5 turns. I wouldn't recommend the screaming eagle lifters for multiple reasons. The feuling liftes tend to be the best.. Usally, noise isn't a problem with the screaming eagle lifters, tho.
@RobertChandler-lh9tr
@RobertChandler-lh9tr Ай бұрын
@HarleyDavidsonWizard well it's a 132 11.0:1 with Ward heads +1mm and .600 lift springs. Had Fueling race lifters in it. One collapsed, so only place around was harley. So that's why they're in there. Lol From your comment, I just ordered s&s. I'll adjust them at .100. Fuelmoto quickie push rods say 3.5 turns. I should of did the math. Thanks again. Your work and videos help everyone.

I have a 2015 Street Glide Special and the rear shifter rode lever is loose and I can spin the washer. Is is possible to just loosen the 1/4 inch allen bolt and push the lever towards the motor then tighten it back without doing this much work?
@HarleyDavidsonWizard
@HarleyDavidsonWizard Ай бұрын
If the splines of both parts are in good condition. Then yes. The first step is to get in there with a 1/4 Allen bit and tighten it up and see if that does the trick.

i believe you should of installed temporary only for a few mins the backing plate for the air cleaner to only hold up straight the face of the intake manifold before tighten down the intake manifold so the intake manifold is correctly aligned to the heads for easy install of the 2 large bolts to the head going into the air cleaner backing plate. but everything you did that i saw was excellent...

Hey buddy, can you do a video on how to test for oil coming out the rocker arms using the 90 hose tool you made, I can't quite work out how you ran this test using that black 90 degree elbow, and did you crank the engine on battery power or just by rotating the rear wheel in 6th gear? thanks

I just want to say I just completed this trask and with your technique seem like everything went well. I rode it around my street, and no leaks .I followed your instructions to the teeth, torque and cleaned threads , I did noticed a chain nosie as soon I started but went away in like 4 seconds , scared me for a second , I did go with a inner primary sealed bearing kit . TIP to clean out the comp and clutch bold I used a drill and a wire brush similar to a baby bottle cleaning brush worked like a charm
