Modular helmets and the Yamaha Niken. The Niken has too many wheels and modulars have too many hinges.

When you had 900 Rally Pro, you said that the Africa Twin was too big and heavy bike compared to the Tiger, so why did you buy it again? Is it better than the new 2024 Tiger 900 Rally Pro which was heavily updated?

@@Sebastian-no6gc after my accident I don’t plan on taking my big bikes off road much. But yes for more off roading I would say tiger

@@adventureundone Thank you for your replay. I don’t plan any heavy off road, some gravel/fire roads maybe, most of the time I’ll touring on the tarmac, so as the road bike do you recon ATAS will be better choice? I heard also that Tiger 900 Rally Pro with 21” front wheel is quite good as road bike.

@@Sebastian-no6gc yes it’s very good, and I did a few long rides on my tiger. But yes the new 24’ ATAS is much better for touring and light off roading. You sound like u enjoy the same kind of riding like me, and I 100% would take the ATAS

Great video, thanks. I try to decide between new 2024 Tiger 900 Rally Pro, or 2024 ATAS manual. Tiger is 20kg lighter, $2500 cheaper, and more powerful than ATAS. Can you share some thoughts and opinions about those two bikes?

Here's some info about the 150L that you may/may not know...... some stuff about possible front end suspension swap-outs that might interest you? I know it does me so I'm looking to verify what he's saying. IF I find it true, I'm gonna go ahead and buy the bike. I already liked it but the chance to do a straight swap is something worth looking into. Hope you look & let all of us know what you think? You may already know this but here's the info;; HONDA XR150L - SPEC OVERVIEW and POTENTIAL UPGRADES for your reference! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hsCCptZ41dS6n40.html If ya find out for sure, please share it w/ all of us. peace

@user-dv7hb2sc9m
@user-dv7hb2sc9m 2 күн бұрын
I guess the difference is the basically seat height & ABS brakes only(+color). I'm 5' 6" but I'm not worried about the seat height since the suspension is so light/soft? I do appreciate your reviewing this one, I didn't know about it. peace

Honestly I liked the Rally best as well, gas tank is bigger & the small shield, I don't know all the differences but the INTENT tells me the Rally is more about what I'm gonna want the bike for. They say she rides better on the roads & I guesstimate my needs as 80% - 20% on the roads so I'll be selecting a tire for that percentage. Also I'd probably do somewhat of a suspension upgrade but not until after I have a chance to break it in w/ stock stuff. No need to be MOD'in' a bike before she's broken in.... thanks for sharing & now that I know, I can digg thru your stuff to see what all you think about the bike, then & Now! peace

@@user-dv7hb2sc9m yeah I have been debating upgrading my suspension as well. maybe soon
@user-dv7hb2sc9m
@user-dv7hb2sc9m 2 күн бұрын
Yeah, I've looked at several different places offering their own special upgrades.... If I buy new I'll ride it just like it is thru the "break-in" period & then it'll be tires first as I think about what MOD's & in what order. Handling is what I feel is most important - tires, suspension, and perhaps handlebars. There is a straight swap out set of front end suspension from I believe the 150 moto version but I've got to double check it. A guy says that all the past like 15+ yrs of this other 150 can be used on the Dual Sport version BUT it might only be in his Asian nation but I'll be checking. If it's on all the past motocross bikes(150's) for the last 15-20 yrs as he claims here like it is in his country, It will be fairly easy to source them. If not, you know it's an expensive undertaking. peace

Finding a good windscreen can be a real bummer (been there/ done that). As "MtbPoland" commented below, getting a Wind Deflector can be the answer. Also, just saying I hear the lower-priced Transalp 750's stock/ factory windscreen is supposed to be pretty good (the reviewer "Nothing To Prove" was pretty impressed by it).

I ride my 2022 with the windscreen off. It is loud as can be but no turbulence. Just installed a huge givi tonight and it is quieter but turbulent. I can't win! I don't care about wind on my body but I definitely don't want to go deaf. Crazy loud even with ear plugs. If I can't figure this out, I am most likely gonna sell it and get a naked bike.

I have the standard Africa Twin and my factory screen is 16.5” tall, but is a little more consistent in width that what yours appears to be at the 42 second mark. It seems to be 12” wide and the bottom and only increases to 13” at the top. I have a 3.75” Puig medium clip on top of it that has worked really well so far. Also, when I sat on the Adventure Sports with the 19” front wheel and then immediately climbed on the standard model with the 21” it seems you need less windshield on the standard because the dash instruments are higher in my sight line. As to your question, yes I do believe I will switch out my windshield at some point. I’m thinking I’ll check out Puig because they seem to be a little thicker and I’ve had good experience with them in the past. That’s said I’m open minded if something is better out there. Appreciate the thorough review of the WRS. The vibration in the larger one surprised me.

I have the 2024 AT1100L ES, I am 5 ft 11”, 32” inside leg, I have the following OEM and Puig accessories fitted, Comfort seat (which is thicker and adds additional height), upper and lower deflector kits, centre stand and the Puig MULTI-ADJUSTABLE VISOR 2.0 fixed with screws, and 20mm bar risers. I find this to be great for touring, and I prefer the smaller tank. The Puig multi-adjustable visor 2.0 in conjunction with the adjustable screen the bike now comes with, and the OEM deflector kits, is brilliant (bearing in mind this is an adventure bike and not a goldwing). I got the screw through screen one, as I prefer the permanent mounting solution over the clip-on version. The ES suspension is plush, even in the Tour mode. Just a shame Honda didn’t fit the AT, ATAS and the NT with shaft drive.
