But I grew up way up north in a little place we call Naujaat, at the very north end of Hudson Bay, right on the arctic circle in Canada. When I was seven, my father got a Christmas present. It came back after a time. I think it was because it was hungry. It took us a long time to catch it but, when we finally tamed it, it became the best lead dog we had ever had.
