Depends if you got new wifi service, it only connects to 2.4 ghz. Also if camera gets old it can fail after a few years.

I used a 22mm driver that runs 4.8 amp in the 2 cell configuration with the cree xhp70.2 6volt emitter. It will fit the 8 amp driver from convoy in 22mm but use it in single cell config. with a cree xhp70.2 6volt or luminus sft40. I have a convoy M26C running a cree xhp70.2 6volt with 8amp 22mm driver, folks on budget light forum have tested the xhp70.2 6volt and it can handle 20 amps !

Yes this body can fit any if not most 22mm 8amp drivers as the driver bay is deep. As for heat sinking, body soaks up heat really good, barely gets warm running high or turbo.

@@mountedpatrolman I did not heat sink the driver, as the driver has temperature control on board, the shelf of the light and retainer ring should draw heat away from driver.

This camera needs the "geeni app" on your phone or tablet to connect to the wifi, not the internet.

My doss crapped out after 2 years. Battery barely holds a charge and the Bluetooth doesn't work at all, which is pretty important seeing as it's a Bluetooth speaker. I contacted the manufacturer and asked why this thing only lasted 2 years? The answer was shocking. After 2 years they consider the inside components old and prone to failure. I immediately cancelled the new one I had ordered on Amazon. I'm currently looking for something else. Not because it failed anything can fail, but when I was told that after 2 years they consider the components prone to failure, that's enough to not give them my business. Improve the quality of your components doss and they might actually last longer. Look for something else. It sounds decent but does not last.

The batteries are most likely the component that failed. They are probably the cheap 18650 lithium with only 1000 mAh and high resistance short cycle life in a typical blue shrink wrap. I have to charge up my Doss traveler every month if not in use. I plan on opening mine up to replace the batteries with some careful soldering. I have Samsung 30Q 18650 lithium ions with 3000 mAh.

This speaker take a lead acid battery pack, its easy to replace, doesn't cost too much. Just open up the cover, be careful removing wires. Check Amazon for the right size and model.

There is a "qr code" method, where you hold the code infront of the Geeni camera, also make sure your wifi is only 2.4 ghz and not 5.0 ghz. It may be a defective camera itself. I'm using a new camera "littlelf" from amazon. I find it is more stable and consistent, about the same price and has 1080p.

Also try the "reset" button on the back of the camera, its a small button, size of a pen tip.

There are no written instructions for outdoor use, the manual and box only "illustrates" indoor use, but... many people have used these outdoors under cover from weather, and they have worked just fine.

Try a different camera available on Amazon its called "Littlelf" Its very stable and runs at 1080p, just use the default motion setting.

This camera set up just fine on the Geeni app, but when I tried to connect to the Alexa Echo it is being read as a Plug. I called Amazon and they told me to reset the camera, that did not work. I also tried to reset the Alexia app, that didn't work. I tried everything but it still says it is a Plug. Any Ideas what I should do?

Send a message to Geeni/Merkury through the Geeni App, there is a section under service enquiry, they will respond by email. Geeni should solve this, do not let them give you the standard "reset function" or general trouble shooting and setup.
