I can honestly say, that over the last 3 years of living in Oberfalz, I didn't know that Zoigl was a thing until toward the latter half of my 3rd year here, I was drinking a Winkler Amberger style Zoigl and I wondered if it was a more house-hold brewed Zoigl. As a Dutch person myself I don’t see this much often, as this mostly is known by the people that are 40 years or above. The younger generation doesn’t order this in a traditional Brown cafe. Or don’t even know about this Dutch traditional combination regarding alcoholic beverages.
