I appreciate the information and great insights on the process. It is all overwhelming but worth it in the end. It sounds like Morton is standard driven which explains why their cost may be higher. Most don’t do this repeatedly, so you want it done right the first time.

Short sleeve t-shirt and shorts........ Must not be of the itchy glassy kind of insulation.... BTW, I also wear a tee-shit and shorts every day here in Florida........... Could SPRAY FOAM insulation be any cheaper? I'm guessing approx. $6,000 for foam. Glad I found this before I move forward

Was in Akron on business for the past week. Couldn’t get a tour because I didn’t have a group. Real bummer, Couldn’t even just look through a window.

This bus looks like a combination of a flexible and fishbowl bus
@jamalsamuel31232 ай бұрын
This bus looks like the framework of a flexible bus and the side windows, the back window looks like a fishbowl bus window as well as the top roof back heat vent looks like a fishbowls heat unit, and its EXUAST pipe is not under the bus like a fishbowl bus, its on the back side just like a flexible bus

I loved the old GM buses from the 50's and 60's, with that screaming Detroit. There's still nothing like it. 😊

I live in Missouri and since it's very humid here I've been told that the metal buildings sweat. I don't think it would be a great idea to use this kind of insulation for me. Ive been told there is some kind of underlayment that needs to be applied to prevent rotting of the wood frame. Any professionals have any recommendations ?? I don't want to spend time and money and do it wrong and later down the road face the consequences..thanks

I own a GMC TDH 1956 transit bus . I’m trying to remove the front doors off because they have considerable rust at the bottom of the doors and I have a fabricator and welder who can remove the rust and repair the doors. Can you give me any guidance on what I would to remove the doors for repair.

The Nickel Plate Road pulled a switch-a-roo with the City of Ft. Wayne, IN in the early 1960s, when they asked for the steam locomotive that had been the first to lead a train across the new elevated track through town about 10 years earlier, for display in a city park. That locomotive, Berkshire type #767, was subsequently involved in a wreck after the ceremony, and while it was repaired and returned to service, it was never the same, had ongoing problems, and when the railroad Dieselized in 1958 was one of the first to be scrapped. Not wanting to totally disappoint the town fathers, they substituted locomotive #765, renumbered it for #767 and gave it to the city. Well, when a group was formed about 10 years after that to refurbish the locomotive for possible excursion operation, they realized the builder's number was for 765, not 767. This turned out to be very fortunate for the group, because #765 was probably the most reliable and best running locomotive on the division, a crew favorite, and had received a major shopping not too long before retirement. So, they got a well-taken care of and reliable locomotive that ran for nearly 20 years before needing a major overhaul, and it still runs to this day, a fan favorite.

In Cuba we had buses exactly like this one with a small window before and after the back door. They arrived in Cuba at the end of the 1950's and were already in use in the USA. We also had a small version! They had automatic transmission and air suspension and seemed like they were floating above the streets! Congratulations to the engineers and designers of those Old Look GMs! ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👋👋👋👋👋👋 It would be interesting to see if there are promotional videos of those buses with their creators! !!!Applause! 👋👋👋👋👋

Those speed buses were mine. I sold them 8 Buses for that movie. I made a lot of money from that. Also 5 came from San Diego and 1 from Dallas. 2 more were ex Los Angeles buses. 3 were actually 4519’s which were used for the jump schemes
