How to protect cover decorations from fading? I have an original Penguin Clothbound (The Nutcracker) and the little nutcrackers on the cover are all disappearing :(

Could you tell me what bookcloth you used? My daughter bought the allure bookcloth from hollanders, rebound a book via your awesome tutorials but the cricut HTV will not stick. It initially sticks but peels right off 😩. Any suggestions?
@ThatsMyBookshelfСағат бұрын
Oh is that the sort of coated one? Super smooth, not really a cloth texture? It’s the worst I hate working with it. I’ve had so many issues with HTV with the coated book cloths. I mainly use the linen book cloth from bookcraft supply co, the company is linked in my linktree, and they have a ton of colors to choose from. They also ship internationally too if that’s something you need 😊

It's nice to preserve your books for a longer period of time, but I don't like that all books are the same model. In my opinion, the design of the cardboard covers is better. Of course, your priority may be to protect your books rather than visuality. If you ask me, you should find other designs.

She is doing all of them in the Penguin Clothbound Classics aesthetic, I think is really nice.

What a waste of fucking life imagine not having any skills taking a book you have nothing to do with and making a scrapbook out of it and calling it different what a piece of shit

Try sewing on some headbands. hemp cord and two coloured threads. Takes a lot of practice but looks great.

Не могу понять к чему приклеили новую обложку? К первым страницам книги? Можно было приклеить к старой обложке, но её безжалостно оторвали. Так к чему же была приклеена новая обложка? 🤔
