Did you try the additive Lube Guard for transmission? After your transmission flush you put this in with the new trans oils and it eliminates the shutter. Saw several KZfaq videos on this.

My 2021 has a shudder but its completely different from your rumble strip style vibration. Mine feels more like a hesitation with a jerk. Like how fuel cut feels but not as intense. Same deal...40-55mph...low rpm...high gear... slight incline. If I let off the gas or punch it to force a downshift, it goes away.

If your primary goal for the truck is to go wheeling, I don't think the ceramic coat is going to help much. My truck doesn't have a ceramic coat and has nearly the same number of nicks and scratches as other Tacomas on the trail that have a ceramic coat. So, YMMV. That said, it does make cleaning the truck less time consuming and stressful. I think more importantly, get your frame rust protected. Toyota frames are notorious for rusting and though it isn't a big problem in SoCal, it definitely is a problem if you live somewhere where they salt or brine the roads during winter.

So it’s really held on with 4 bolts ? The two star and the two bolts that get loosened up and slid onto ?

I noticed this problem from the moment I brought the truck home brand new. I returned it before using the first tank of gas reporting the problem. After multiple attempts, two different service managers, I finally just gave up on it because the dealership just kept stonewalling me. I’m just over three years and 25,000 miles and not not sure if the warranty will still cover dealing with this problem. In the process of moving from Alaska down to Vancouver, Washington, and I’m gonna try and take the cars back up with a better dealership. I made at least one call to Toyota motor Corp. complaining that this dealership was stonewalling me, so there should be a record with them, but I’m not holding my breath as I’ve had zero luck with this issue in three years of trying. Love the truck otherwise but this issue has made me hate this truck from Day One. Next dealership says there’s not a problem then I’ll just trade it in for something else. Hopefully interest rates will drop soon with the current crisis underway with the Fed.

Bought my '22 TRD Sport double cab with 25k miles about 2 months ago. Has the Premium and Technology packages. So far I've installed the AWE true dual exhaust, added a drop in AFE high flow dry air filter, blacked out all the exterior badging, installed FORM lighting's full LED tail lights with smoked lens for that black out look and also their TRI-LED headlights with black housing just to get rid of all chrome. Also had the OTT tune done in the mild/medium settings which is perfect for me. Future mods will be wheels and tires, Eibach coil over spring kit and a full color change vinyl wrap in satin gun metal gray(factory paint is super white) waiting for my tax return to do all that though lol. Love this truck!!

I believe Longo Toyota is the only dealership that sells at MSRP. No markups. If I were to ever buy another mid-size truck, I'm going for the Colorado Bison. Toyota dealerships I've been to have mark-ups on SR and SR5 trims. GTFOH.

Toyota ups their MSRP, then the stealerships come out and price gouge the living freak out of their loyal customers. I'll keep my '23 Taco for as long as I can. Thanks but no thanks Toyota. I won't be buying anything from you for a very long time, if ever again.
