Hi Jimy, Slow speed records is real way to imprese public. I would like to say that analog speed records are very difficulct, but digital as well. There are thema in German forum which call wie Langsam ist Langsam. I think you shoul look it and maybe post there your own record. There are a lot of impressive videos with calculation. Those who can beat longer time for few mm are winners. Also you could see analog record of of Hrvoje Trains here in YT. There is a fantastic performance. I would like to say that there was not made any controller for slow performance. Every Brirish or German best controllers have their problems. The ideal controller should have logarithmic potentiometer, whith a huge knob. And a possibility tho change type of DC. Impulse, halfwave, 3 stage PWM and so on. There should be a mixture of Teichmann, Heiswolf, Gaugemaster, Duette, Titan and Siemens-Arnold controllers with some ideas of industry controlles as well. I could tell that there is no new 3 stage PWM for model train exist yet.

Hello Alexander_sth Yeah going slow is difficult to do - I got the idea from Sam's Trains - every time he does a review - he always see how slow he can get them to do!!! I can't speak German so I think that I would just get lost in the German Forums & wouldn't understand what was going on!!! But thank you any way & thank you for watching 😊🚂🚂🚂

Thank you very much Jimy, Now I see that Duette with full resistans mode could provide 0.3 v. But your locomotives start to move from 1 v. That is great reserve, similar to Gaugemaster. It could handle HAG locomotives with 3 pole motor which could work from 0.6-0.8 v. Very good indeed.

@@Jimyjames73 do you really believe in Google in that thing? Even if fabrics do not telling the real data? Actully they use trick - 0...14. But 0 is not starting point. Only one fabric used to write true - 1.5-14V, it was Titan, but late versions only. Do you have multimeter?

Hi, the blue Lima dock shunter was my very first loco that I bought for myself back in the late 70’s, I remember it very well and how it ran very well, I eventually got my hands on a Hornby mains powered controller a few months later, the Hornby Flying Scotsman was my second locomotive and that was a great addition, thanks for sharing.

Excuse me, how can I plug in the HM 2000 Power Controller? I am trying to find out how to plug it in.
@Jimyjames73Ай бұрын
The HM 2000 comes with wires, a mains Lead which plugs in at the back under the On / Off switch (you can see @ 6:13) & then it comes with 2 set of smaller wires which plugs in at the back - use either controlled 1 or 2 (see on my video @ 6:03 do the reverse) then you will need a Power Track R8206 From Hornby.com £11.99 - Then you will see it has 2 little button on it - press the left button & insert 1 wire, then do the same for the right button - hope that helps 😉🚂🚂🚂

Hi, I am presuming this doesnt come with track. Do you know how much track this takes to fill the bridge? Was wondering if I can start my curves right on the end to fit into my layout or if the straights would come out past the dimensions of the bridge?
@Jimyjames735 ай бұрын
Hiya - Your Right - No track comes with the Bridge - I have use on each bridge 2 x R603 Long Straight Track £6.70 from the Hornby Web Site (thou you might get it cheaper from your Local Model Shop). Yes you can start your curves from the end of the Suspension Bridge - that is what I have done, on 2 of my Bridges I do also have a small Straight at 1 end - so you can do both!!! Hope this helps🤔🚂🚂🚂 JJ

@@Jimyjames73 thanks for replying, I've decided against it, my layout is 2400mm wide and need to run 3rd radius turns either side of this which would take me within millimetres of the edge of the base. Will set my sights a little lower and go with a small brick bridge with adjoining walls.

@@matthewsymmons5852 If you look at the instructions of the Suspension Bridge - it tells you that you can have a smaller Suspension Bridge only using 1 Main Tower only 724 mm long - does that help??? 🤔🚂🚂🚂
