I can see why folks would be upset, given that this was originally meant to be an action show marketed for girls - even my gut reaction was "wait, it was a big deal for young girls to have this back in the day!" But then I recalled that this show has been running for 21 seasons, and I can imagine the creator wanting to take it in a new direction after so many years. The action-based episodes still exist, other media inspired by Precure exists, and doing a season focused more on empathy and petting cute animals honestly sounds like a good call these days. Why not try something different and soothing?

Walpurgisnacht is multiple magical girls - you can see the soul gems and silhouettes of several unknown girls. My theory is that since this witch is named after a recurring event, it's more like a general term for when so much despair builds up that multiple magical girls coalesce into one witch, and it just happens every few centuries.

In retrospect, it feels like Hitomi may just be frustrated about waiting for a move that Sayaka will never make, or perhaps trying to help by pressuring her to tell him, without time to overthink it. I LOVED PEACH FUZZ AS A KID （>∀<）I had it in my school and read all of them, it was my first ever manga and it’s what originally introduced me to anime art style and anime and manga!!

Ah, Madoka, a great magical girl show that did something new, and sadly spelled doom for the genre as everyone scrambled to make the edgiest magical girl concept without a thought for WHY this show made such an impact on folks. I could made a metaphor here, but that'd be spoilers. People will call anything a deconstruction, honestly.

Art contests are predatory by nature. The prize rarely comes _close_ to the actual payment an artist would be given for the amount of work done, and they essentially get ownership of everything sent in to them. As exciting it must feel to be published like that, the whole thing is a way of getting loads of free IP from everyone for a one-time lowball payment to the "winners." Even if they got paid properly for the full manga volumes, like you said, the "opportunity" robs them of any control or payment if the company capitalizes on their creation.

It's wild to see those contest volumes filled with 2000s webcomic-looking characters...the era of tracing/mimicking the style without learning the basics. Good times. I never would have guessed how young the girl who made Peach Fuzz was, though! I'd love to see her art nowadays if she was this impressive back then.

The stickiness is plasticizer breaking down. You can clean it with isopropyl alcohol, which is pretty mild and shouldn't impact any prints and decals. That being said, plasticizer will eventually leak out completely and once rubbery vinyl will become hard plastic.

I come after the "battle", and i know doreimani won't see this message, but for me no fight is a big "faux pas" from wonderful precure. For two reasons, the frist is because in the long term all the chase sequence seem the same, we can also say that for battle scene, but in my taste, we can play more with battle scene in term of staging. The second reason is... well because is the ADN of precure. Futari wa precure was the mahou shojo who energize the all genre and make a so big impression than we can say today, it one of the big franchise of mahou shojo with sailor moon and magical doremi. It like if they make a kamen rider series without battle or the kick final move, it wierd, it can work but have a low chance.

My guess is they needed to give young people a chance to play along

I just started high school when this came out and I remember my younger cousin had the first volume and she let me borrow it and I actually enjoyed it and being a dumb teenager in highschool I was to embarrassed to own it myself so I went out of my way to buy her the other two volume when they came out she called me out it but she appreciate it ah fond memories

I remember a post mentioning that from what they figured out any time karma is mentioned it's in the Buddhist sense so instead of "that's what you deserve" it's more of "What happens happens". I just thought I'd mention that cause it's kind of interesting especially due to the mention of "karmatic burden" & stuff. I find it interesting that Madoka's power becomes stronger with each timeline thanks to Homura's meddling. She went from someone that made a impulsive wish to revive a cat she found to having power so strong that she'd rival Walpurgisnacht when she turns into a witch. Kyubey doesn't even feeling like dealing with making more magic girls to deal with it, I know they're leaving & said it's thanks to meeting a power quota but Kyubey admits Madoka as a witch is too powerful or something.

For context on Homura saying her name is weird it means flame/blaze The irony that I just suddenly thought about Blaze the cat. Same name technically, both are distant people due to issues in their lives, both have purple color themes, Blaze even has a red gem on her forehead kind of like Homura's glasses' color, they're also friends with kind of hopeful people(Silver the hedgehog & Madoka). They're even time related with Homura having time powers due to wanting to save Madoka, Silver being from the future & the first game he was introduced in(Sonic the hedgehog 2006) involving Silver going to the past(he's tricked which kind of parallels with Kyubey trying to manipulate people) to save the future.(Which is also damaged by a powerful being like in Madoka) Blaze is a cat & Madoka's original wish involved saving a cat.

A part of me kind of wishes one day the creators might get the ability to make a sequel or a spiritual successor because given they didn't get the ability to to make a 4th volume sounds like they had more stories to tell that would have been interesting to see if given the chance

I got the first volume still, I remember finding it at my school's library before eventually getting it at a book fair. I bought it along side the manga adaption of Kingdom Hearts which I had no idea was a game series at the time.(Ironic as I saw gifs for KH2 on Neopets all the time & had listened to Simple & Clean a lot thanks to coding on pet pages)
