I had Moonview even lower! Though admittedly, I also later predicted Rosalina's Ice World over Daisy Circuit. Just happened to be that they kicked out Piranha Plant Pipeline.

I think Electrodrome is a little too easy to be a final cup opener I think at most bob-omb or leaf cup would work Hell swap it with riverside maybe, riverside can be made difficult and a good opener for the last cup

Me personally, I think they may prioritize tour retros that didn’t make it into the BCP, like Airship or Lakeside I mean it would be a lot of wasted effort to leave em to eventually die, wouldn’t it?

Wow, you surely drained you brain thinking about the track selection, that's called commitment and I appreciate it, but for me it's clear that we're gonna get retro tracks that got remade already (including tracks that got remade for Mario Kart Tour and didn't make the cut for the Booster Course Pass). Great video!

@@nicogarcia1894 I imagine a mix of both is still likely. This does go to show that they can do all new ones if they want. I think that since MK8 has been out for so many years at this point that perhaps any retro course that wasn't in MK8 might be eligible again. We will see.

I'm really confused on why this Wii bias even exists. So many of us grew up with Mario Kart Wii, yet it seems like one half treats it the same as any other game, and the other half just meat ride it to oblivion. Yes MKW is a good game. But guess what? Double Dash, 7, 8 Deluxe, and 64 are all just as good in their own right. You can like what ever you want, I'm not saying you can't have an opinion, but I am saying stop using it as a means to bring others down. Whats with the superiority complex over a game from the 2000s? Can you not realise that you're blinded by nostalgia? You do not need to hate on others (specifically 8 for some reason) to justify a subjective opinion. It almost feels like they are afraid to give any credit to another game because it may bring down their holy grail of a childhood game. Its ridiculous.

To be fair, I feel like the hostility toward 8 has warn off at this point. Weirdly, MK64 had the same treatment ahead if MK8's original release. All the kids just grew up I guess. Poor Double Dash though, I never felt like it ever had it's moment of recalling.

My solution to the 'are already remade tracks alligable?' thing. I'd say that every remade track which didn't have the flying and underwater gimmicks should qualify as remakable (DS and Wii) as well as the 3DS courses, because honestly, the grafic quality of MK7 is a bit lacking. This of course would mean that only WiiU und Switch remade courses are not able to be remade, which is still a bunch of tracks that fall through. My reasoning for that is that these retro courses often leave something to be desired (especially MKDS, it's one of my favourite games, but dang, some remakes stink...) But that's just my view on the topic😊 Edit: What I also would find quite a good idea is to give some retro tracks new themes. This idea came to me when I thought of the fact that in mario kart, muddy tracks are considered 'chocolate' and snow tracks are considered 'vanilla' which makes them kinda counterparts. So I thought: What if there was a snowy Version of Choco Mountain called 'Vanilla Mountain'. And I think this principle would work with quite a lot of tracks. Turn the Volcano in Grumble Volcano into a geysir that spews water on a beach course, which makes parts of the path flooded. Turn Toad Harbour into a desert3d ghost town which was taken over by boos. Turn Waluigi stadium into a skater park instead of a dirt track. That would freshen things up and also would save time, as the layout of these courses has already been more or less perfected, so the devs could concentrate on the gimmicks more.😅

I think skins for stages would be a good addition. Swapping to skate park Waluigi Stadium could be like selecting Fire Mario on the character select screen.

The only way I see it going well is if they give people as much power as the tools in Halo/Forza do. Nintendo shouldn't lock the tool behind a paywall (unless they give users a lot more control than I think they will), and they could have leaderboards, custom challenges people make akin to Halo Custom Game settings or Forza Eventlab Rules, and Nintendo could curate/cycle tracks into online matchmaking. Really don't see them doing this at all as they do not like to have people interact with their developers but it would be the only good way to have this go about unless it's insanely basic.

Amazing how much thought and effort you have put into this. But just to let you know, Yoshi's Island and Squeaky Clean Sprint are actually Tour courses even though they debuted in 8 Deluxe first while being marked ''new'' in both games.

I know they're Tour courses, and were built for that game. But the classification doesn't really matter here. They still have a fundamental difference from the other Tour originals, alongside Sky High Sundae.

What are you talking about? There were some elements of the original that I definitely preferred, but the remake was an awesome time. I would say it's the definitive way to play TTYD now for sure.

I highly believe the Wii U tracks will be classified as "Switch" tracks. This is because of three reasons: - Most people remember MK8DX for the Nintendo Switch than MK8 for the Wii U since MK8DX is more popular and has far more sales than MK8 - The prefixes for the MK8 tracks will be consistent with the MK8DX battle maps since the battle maps were never in the Wii U version (This is if they do bring back a MK8DX battle map at least) - I doubt Nintendo would want ever want to give the Wii U representation to begin with

Could be right, even if it's wrong to do so. They advertised many Wii U games as Switch games to begin with though, so I wouldn't doubt it.

Personally, I’d rather pick Wii Mario Circuit over Wii Luigi Circuit. The retro courses then would be a mushroom and flower cup course, rather than two mushroom cup courses.

I suppose, but I don't think they consider stuff like that. They consider what fits in the cup. Both those circuits would be fine Shell Cup courses. Keep in mind, all 3 N64 tracks in MK7 were mushroom cup courses. I don't think 2 from Wii would be a big deal.

@@HDRookie That’s a fair point, but I would rather see that we get Figure-8 Circuit, maybe a Bowser’s Castle, and a returning DS course from Wii/7 like Delfino Square. I would say Figure-8 Circuit goes in the Shell Cup, and Wii Mario Circuit would fit best in the Banana Cup with Toad’s Factory ending the Shell Cup.

I honestly agree with Super bell subway over Sunshine Airport. Although I prefer Sunshine Airport, it would be a bit redundant since there would already be two star cup courses. If sunshine Airport was in, 1/2 or 50% of the WII U courses would be star cup courses

With only 2 SNES tracks, I would prefer them to not be in back to back waves. VL2 was also designed to be a rather difficult track too. It is right before SNES RR in SMK

@@HDRookie Ice physics are harder to deal with in SMK, but this track has nothing to do in Wave 6. If anything, put it in Wave 2 and save BC3 for Wave 5 :P

Mario Party Jamboree and Metroid Prime 4 were the 2 most excited announcements for this Direct. Mario Party Jamboree looks like a lot of fun, the boards looks a lot like fun, especially the Rainbow Galleria, im glad ND Cube is finally making their first actual great brand new Mario Party. The last announcement of this Direct being Metroid Prime 4 looks pretty exciting, ive been waiting 7 years for a full reveal, altough it seems strange how it said "2025" at the end without giving us a date, this could potentially be another Breath of the Wild situation, because it looks like Nintendo are marketting it as something "huge".
