I'm Scottish, and my Glaswegian accent is considered harsh by some people too. Beauty is in the ear of the audience, I suppose.

As a German: what i love about our language is that we can choose whether or not we want to sound aggressive or terrifying. German, when spoken normally can be very gentle. But whenever we get angry and loud it really gets the point across. I had a French exchange student a couple years ago and she told me that my parents and I sounded absolutely terrifying whenever we raised our voices. I think this is a great asset!

Even on a local scale, this shit happens. I recall a 7th grader who transferred to our school mid-year. People were wondering how that was so, and eventually found out that she was kicked out of her previous school because her n*des were circulated. It didnt even take a week and someone in our school got a hold of it. They said they got it through Bluetooth sharing. I felt really bad for her, I never saw the pics and didnt want to see them as she was an acquaintance of mine, but she moved to a different school again by the next school year. Men with public perversive behavior are disgusting, but men with extreme private perversive habits are filth of this earth.

If anyone's interested, those rifles they use in their parades is their pride, the Type 88-1, a clone of AK-74. Its recognizable from the AK 74 frame and hollow (likely to cut cost) side folding stock. There is also a newer Type 88-2, with a 75-round helical magazine and top folding stock. There is also a S&T K11 clone which maybe an expert can explain more, I can't find anything regarding it.

It's not just Hitler folks. The idea that German sounds harsh predates the World Wars. I think this video explained a good bit of it linguistically rather than politically. Gutturals and glottal stops, together with some very strong consonant pairings make for a language that will be an acquired taste for a lot of people. I for one think it's a language well worth learning, but let's not act like victims here when others think it harsh.
