I am 55 and have been fighting the gray hair frizzy curl since giving up toxic ingredients. I use the Desert Essence coconut spray and curl cream and am still a frizz head! Most days I do a side braid to try to disguise the frizz. I say all that to say THANK YOU for other solutions to try! I was at a loss and assumed there was nothing nontoxic to help me.

Oh my goodness... I can TOTALLY relate! I hope you LOVE these products as much as I do. My only hesitation with them is that they're not cheap. But of course no truly clean product is... that's the reason the companies use the chemicals... to keep the price down and their bottom line higher. But I've learned to make due with a LOT less product in my hair each time than I used to use and that helps keep the cost down. Let me know what you think!!

Y'all are funny with hair products. And by y'all, I mean anyone that uses more than just water. Because ever since getting a shower filter, that is all I have used. And it works perfectly. Of course, purified water technically _is_ a man-made product, as water goes hard when it comes into contact with the ground. But it's not a "hair product" specifically. Whatever that's supposed to be in the first place. Like I said, y'all are funny.

@@MichelleVisser I wear compression knee socks every day, Which in the heat of West Tennessee can be challenging, but it saves my legs. I also use a product called heel seats in my shoes. I purchased both on Amazon. In March, one Sat. I went to the fiber festival and that night I was in the ER, and I ended up having an emergency exploratory abdominal surgery Sun.morning at 6:00AM...The walking was got me out of the hospital by Tuesday afternoon, even with 25 staples and my gut looking like a weird science project. I'm 72 and go out of my way to learn new things and try to put them to use. I'm a new fermenter and think that's going ok. I've tried cheese making...not ready to talk about that. Yes, Hostess was all over. Are plenty as a kid. Surprised I'm still on the sky side of dirt. Hostess is still sold all over and is now owned by Smuckers. And no, I don't eat them anymore. I cook pretty much everything we eat and have for at least a couple of decades. Thanks for the inspiration to keep going.

I actually didn't know that Hostess is still around! I guess I haven't looked at the processed cupcake aisle in stores in a long while! Are the chocolate cakes with choc icing and white filling still around? Funny I really thought they were just a memory from my childhood 😃 I've never heard the say " still on the sky side of dirt." I love it. And seriously how unclean I ate until just the last 10 years of my life... I too am surprized I'm healthy; only by the grace of God

@@MichelleVisser I'll be honest, when I go to the grocery store, I tend to only shop the periphery. Very rarely do I go down an aisle, and that to get gluten free for my husband, so I'm not the one to ask about current stuff offered. @MichelleVisser Got London broil steaks from Shaw's 2.77lb I asked my butcher to make them as big as they could they made them a little over 4 inches thick, and put 2 in a pack. so a little over 9.5lbs each and I was allowed to get 2 they cut most of the fat off. Now I will cut them into steaks and roasts and cube some. I could of gotten the whole thing with the tallow but I was not going to cut that up and render it. So we still can save money we just have to ask.

I don't have pain getting out of bed with my SI joint which has arthritis severe. I have discs that are in stenosis and no discs in my lower lombard region and doing my microgreens religiously 4 oz a day along with my green juice that I squeeze daily. My body has come out of inflammation and it feels wonderful at 62 to have figured it out... Started eating like my husband and it's the worst for my body. I have seen a double digit increase in chicken, turkey, beef, cheese, eggs, butter, fresh fruits and vegetables of all kinds, fish, seafood, flours, olive oil, and that's just off the top of my head. Here in Northern Michigan. We purchased a freeze dryer 2 years ago, because canning and freezing our food wasn't enough. We found that out when we lost a chest freezer and a refrigerator within the same month, we had to make a change! We didn't lose anything, because we had thermostats on the refrigerator and freezer that notified us that we had an issue. So we began to cook, and can all of it. We put everything from the refrigerator into an old 1990 refrigerator that we keep in the garage for emergencies. We have gone through 5 refrigerators in 16 years, so we are careful. Now we can buy reduced items and make them shelf stable. We still have the freezers for large meat purchases, or hunting, but we are down to two, and soon we will be at one. I have a good deal of butter in my freezer purchased at what was a sale price in 2020, 2021, 2 lbs. For $4.00. We stocked up during each sale. So now we are inflation protected for awhile.
