Thanks a million I have a mechanic who is a go-for in the motorcycle mechanic industry doing what his boss tells him, good worker except the in-depth knowledge like you have. This has been really really helpful, great and clear video visuals I must say. Thank you again

I've never looked to see if my shocks push my bike up like that. I ride a 2009 Shadow Aero 750 stock to the Bone. If it ain't broke I won't fix it. I get a lot of compliments even from Harley Riders. Especially the ones that have switched from Honda to Harley. They're seldom happy with their decision.

Hello Everyone I have a vstar 2006 and my starter stopped working at the beginning of the summer. It would spin but does not engage the engine. I followed the video step by step and changed the starter clutch. After I put everything back, and hit the starter, it spun one time but then nothing happened. When I press the starting button, I would hear the relay but nothing happens. Before I worked on the bike, I was able to start it through push start, but now it does not work at all. Any tips or things that I might have done wrong? Im almost thinking about getting me another bike at this point

You might of got the timing off and the piston is hitting a valve and not letting the engine turn over. It's very important to mark everything when taking it apart and reassemble back the same way. You can try to remove the spark plugs and the center plug on the left engine cover to spin the motor over manually with a ratchet and long extension and socket to verify that the motor is turning full cycle. No need to drain oil or anything...just remove the chrome plug in the center of the engine cover with large flat blade.

Thank you for this video. I followed step-by-step, but also cleaned out the gas tank as well. The 2011 Ninja had not run for 5 years. After cleaning up, the Bike started immediately. The only suggestion I would add... get some pipe cleaners. even after soaking for a while, I was still able to remove gunk. One other suggestion... loo sen up the air box. It will make removing the hoses way easier.

My bike has terrific spark and I can’t get it running I’m leaning towards my fuel injection
@DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs18 күн бұрын
Hi Jordan... what I would do first is take off the air cleaner cover you can leave the air filter in place and spray either carburetor cleaner or starter spray on the filter where the foam portion is. If the bike starts briefly you know you're not getting any fuel so then it's up to you if you want to troubleshoot your magnetti marelli or if you want to just dump it and put a carburetor conversion on it. Just a few tips in case you want to fix it ... make sure you can hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the key on... if not it might be just your relay that controls the fuel pump or the fuel pump itself. Thanks for your interest and please subscribe it will help me out a lot

I just stumbled on your channel today, when searching for information on adjusting my clutch. I used to pretty much do all my own basic mechanical tasks on cars, trucks, bikes or whatever, but haven't in years. I just bought my first bike in 29 years 😮😮 A "2000" V~Star 650 Classic, Bone Stock, 24 years old, and meticulously maintained with only 17,500 miles on it! After riding now for a few weeks, it feels like i never stopped riding! 😊 Thanks for your great videos 😎

I have a 2000 Harley Davidson road king and it runs good when it’s starts but it has trouble starting i will have to start it a few times with me giving it slight throttle it will turn on… You think possible fuel pump and it is fuel injected with the magneti Marelli

I love all your videos on Yamahas! one question on this video at the 12:03 mark, you state that the rear cylinder gets the bigger main jet. Are you sure, because on partzilla carb break down they have the front cylinder with the 115 main jet, and the rear cylinder with the 112.5 main jet. So who is right? or did I misunderstand something........ Thank you in Advance...

Good vid. I bought a 20 year old FI bike last year with 47,000 miles on it. The guy I bought it from was the original owner and he told me the fuel filter had never been replaced. I got the stuff to replace it and all the lines along with a billet pressure regulator housing from Trask. The housing wasn't cheap but now I should never have worry about getting stuck someplace because of a cracked regulator housing. This is my first FI Harley and I've also got everything necessary to do a carb conversion on it should computer ever take a dump.

Bike was in storage for 6 years. Wouldn’t idle or run. I watched this video probably 5 times before attempting and did exactly as you did here including removing the aluminum plugs. Removed parts and cleaned as you described. Bike fired up and ran beautifully. In addition changed all fluids, oil/filter, coolant, brake fluid front and back. Thank you for this video! You did a great job of explaining.

Good shit man! Every time I would do something like this when I was younger I would never hear the end of stupid comments about how it’s supposed to be an all that shit. Whereas, just like you did here, the product looks better,it’s closer to the ground for better handling and quite a few other benefits. Sorry about the twenty year comment bro. Awesome work! The bike looks great and I guarantee that it is an easier ride just by being closer to the road and lower center. Keep ‘‘em coming brother!

Its common people's mistake not changing the fluid, not keeping eye on fluid level. not checking where air bubble getting inside. Thats it i knew it. Problem with statement is that always compare average people mind with Great minds. Its irrelevant. by the way. Nice video, helpfull for average people devloping for great mind.🗿🗿

When you’re saying about the marks,isn’t there proper marks that the manufacturer made? Instead of having to draw a mark on the flywheel etc. I just rebuilt my drz400 and everything has proper timing marks so no drawing required.
