I contacted my landlord about the water being way too hot, like to almost boiling temperatures. I was respectful and reasonable, but they didn't seem to care. I was cleaning my bathroom and turned the hot water on by itself (no cold to counteract the heat) to clean something I missed and just from running my hand under the stream for a second, it was a searing heat. I sent another email twlling them that if I needed to go to the hospital for their negligence, they'd be paying the bill. They responded with threatening to cancel my lease because of the language I used. I was very tame and only said fuck and probably bullshit, give the amount of rage coursing through me at the time. Landlords are leeches.

She sounds a little like she is from Singapore, where I'm from. As a landlord myself, or I'd rather be called a "homer" (puns intended), I would NEVER make my tenants feel like this. NEVER There are many landlords like these and some of which will tell me its their house their rules etc so they can do what they wish. I would just tell them NOT to rent their rooms out if they treat people like this. Buggers. I have many people renting many of my properties and I have always heard good things so far of how well-maintained, well kept my properties are and should there be defaults or problems that arise, they are settled IMMEDIATELY. So to this landlord, I hope we never meet. Because I swear the things I would do to you. Being human isnt hard. I can understand why your kids wanted to leave home as quickly as they could.

Unless there is reasonable urgency or threat or self-defense, it's illegal for a landlord to force his way in a house occupied by a tenant, I know it as a landlord myself. By the way, most landlords have spare keys for these kind of emergencies, so they wouldn't need to force the door open. Also, they can call the person simply, this streamer doesn't look like a bad person at all. Mistakes can happen and even if she was liable for damage, it's still uncalled for.
