Just seen you three in Edinburgh last Saturday. Your so uplifting. Ive just had my left knee replaced and still managed to dance. Great concert. Keep it up. Still got the moves. Def would do it again. Love soul, come from London originally and i lived in the States when you and others first started so remember the atmosphere at that time. So flat now in comparison.

These guys were gods to me when I was a kid. I lived for every episode when they came on TV and never missed a second of a single one. I’ll always be thankful for the laughs they gave everyone, from me to the guy they killed with laughter (even his wife thanked them for making his last minutes so enjoyable). I just wish I had kids to share these guys with. Thank you Goodies, you will always rule 🤘

Well,let’s tell the truth here, shall we? They both have seen Jody since they initially broke up in 1983. Anyone remembers the 1996-1997 reunion along with LL Cool J and Babyface doing their 1980 hit song “This Is For The Lover In You”? Jody also said that they were going to do a song together for her next solo album, but her producer didn’t like Howard’s vocals as his vocal ability really went down over the years. She also saw Howard in 2013,2016,and 2019. Also,Howard & Jeffrey stupidly signed a contract with Dick Griffey before he died saying that they can only perform as Shalamar with his daughter Carolyn, and no one else. (The Griffeys own the “Shalamar” name.) So this “reaching out to Jody” crap needs to stop. They are still control by Dick Griffey beyond the grave.

Because 3 came on the tail end of AOR losing its allure sales-wise. Good/bad/indifferent, that was the change in tastes. I saw 3 register on the MTV Countdown and had more velocity than likely anyone would have expected at the time. The quality was quite good, but quality isn't inherently what sells.

@@zeruchofficial Berry is a superb singer, but I don't like the AOR / arena-rock style of the 1980s. Most of the tracks from their original CD from the late 1980s are throwaways. "Lover to Lover" is the only quality track on that first album. Looking forward to hearing their 2 newer albums, recorded after the deaths of Emerson and Lake.

THE GOODIES: The Complete BBC Collection - Interview by Andy Rawll 2209pm 29.3.23 i thought these kiddies had all died... and i have just watched a few episodes after being posted a dvd i ordered. i think i still have my BBC collection of Goodies skits somewhere - bun fight at the ok tea rooms, and such like... akin to fawlty towers you allus think these fellas wrote more than they did... p.s i did go to see i am kurious, oranj ballet and the fall influence is well to the fore as well as Tony Friel's moniker... i am referring to the football episode - villa vs cicklewood ballet.... erm...

These guys were in their prime when I was in my high school years. So many great memories. Sad to say that 3 of the original members are no longer with us, but the memories are here to the end.
