Nobody mentions Wilt because his records are unattainable. They know they can't reach that height so they ignore it altogether.

You do realize that Wilt was even stronger than Shaq. Not to mention faster and more skilled

It would have been much better for Wilt to stay out of those conversations of who the greatest was.

I believe basketball peak was between late 70s and early 00s, so I would say MJ is better player.

I mean wilt is something else, i am sure that people that do understand one or two things, would put the Goat debate between these two, and not put Kobe and Lebron on the conversation.

Wilt in his prime vs Shaq in his prime Wilt would overpower, and outrun him the entire game.

just goes to show how much athletic humans have become because russels high jump record is not even CLOSE to being a top score in the world plus just looking at his highlights ive seen players like anthony edwards jump higher than him atleast he knew how to play winning ball unlike wilt

Recently got more into Basketball (soccer fan) and the way I hear people speak about Wilt is the same way people talk about Pele. If you don’t know about Pele, look him up. Considered the greatest soccer player of all time but didn’t play against “challenging defenders” but that only stems from the era he played in. If Pele played today with his IQ and natural skill plus his professional experience then of course he’d still be in the conversation for the GOAT

Wilt if he had a coach who truly knew how to have him dominate within a system I think he’d been much more successful. Once he finally got a good supporting cast around his coach had him playing a point forward. Then Lakers just defence and rebounding with some offence. Phil Jackson could take big scorers like MJ Shaq Kobe ect and he could have them score while keeping others involved. Unfortunately Wilt didn’t really have that otherwise his playoff numbers been much more dominant and also more wins. Back then also a Celtics were running a monopoly over the league getting all the best players that team was beyond super team and they also had the best coach. Even with all his records Wilt wasn’t even utilized to his full potential which is crazy.

Anyone can blow smoke. Wilt claims he's slept with more women than John Holmes, lifts more weight than Ronnie Coleman, drives faster than Dale Earnhardt- does anyone believe this shit? Wade Boggs (6'2" 190lbs.) claims he once drank 107 beers in approx. 6 hours. How does everyone not just laugh at shit like that? I mean, come on- Wilt's not goddamned Captain America.

Seeing wilt next to shaq makes it all come to the limelight. Bro, was the most dominate big man ever and got no respect because he did it in an era that had no media or talent by comparison.

It's so interesting seeing this footage - looking at the skill level of the players. Not saying this to be disrespectful, but Wilt is one of the only player on the court who actually looks skilled enough to be a professional basketball player. Just about everybody else look like they have the skill level of modern high school kids. Clumsy ball handling, awkward hooting form, guys bricking open 10 footers off the front of the rim...I don't want to be "that guy" (I'm really not even a fan of the current era of basketball) but I dont think any more then 2 or 3 of these guys could actually make a current day NBA roster. Russell basically looks like the Dennis Rodman of the day - great defender, great rebounder, zero offensive skill. He was a superstar then, but if he played today he would be a good role player. No wonder Wilt was so utterly dominant. He was like Joel Embiid playing against a bunch of high shool kids.

In those days they had to play outdoors. No buildings existed that were big enough to house a basketball court. They always said Big Wilt was an even better shot when the wind was blowing. And in rainy conditions no player was better.
