You must have the fan plugged out, or it has a problem. I have the sv08 for e week now, and I had no problems with cooling. I really like the printer. The only thing I have changed is the feet. I found them on printables the 39mm. I think wit shok shock absorption groves in them. They work fantastic. Cheers. Mike Irish

U might try to set up a wifi connection to one computer, that doesn't ever see the internet. I frequently do this for door access and camera systems.
@3DMusketeers
@3DMusketeers Күн бұрын
nope, that does not follow ITAR and CMMC guidelines.
@davidrahn9903
@davidrahn9903 Күн бұрын
I may be wrong. It's been quite a while since I had to read the itar requirements. But I belive you can have a secured local network which you could connect these printers to as long as it didn't reach out to the web. I think a wifi network would be out of the question tho. My last place of employment was an itar registered Manufacturer and we had cnc machines networked locally to our local server. None of it reached out to the web tho. No experience with cmmc tho. Fun stream! Thanks for sharing the experience,
@3DMusketeers
@3DMusketeers Күн бұрын
You have to GUARANTEE it, and I am not in the business of guaranteeing anything that isnt immediately within my control lol. We can run something local but yeah, you have to be SUPER DUPER careful lol.

@@3DMusketeers totally fair! We had a company that specialized in compliant networking work with us to set it up and we were a supplier for a very large company with gov contracts so they audited our networks regularly. Makes it easier to do those kinds of things as a small company when you have the assistance of larger more experienced teams.
@davidconner-shover51

@@3DMusketeers Agreed, though these networks aren't difficult to set up, I've got systems that have been isolated for over a decade now, still running Win XP and 7. I don't even bother to update them, considering their isolation is inherent in the network setup, even with carefully upgraded hardware. Contact with the outside world would devastate such systems. One does learn sterile practices with dealing with them

how do I setup how to use this hot end? I've seen tons of videos showing that it has better flow but no one showing how you configure your slicer to take advantage of it.
@3DMusketeers

just increase your volumetric flow. You can look to increase the speed too, but volumetric flow is often all that is needed

@@3DMusketeers how do I know by how much? I use orca slicer or Bambu slicer depending on the printer

@@3DMusketeers ok, I did all the flow calibrations and adjusted that... how would I now increase the speed?
@3DMusketeers
@3DMusketeers Күн бұрын
you have to increase volumetric flow in the slicer. Then if you need, you can increase speed too. Likely you are limited in speed by volumetric flow already.

Qidi has BY FAR the best customer service. Have an issue late at night. Shoot them an email and wake up to a reply with pictures instructions, custom gcode to print parts or whatever you need, they'll take your failed print gcode and run it on their own machines with their engineers and troubleshoot serious issues you have, they are truly amazing. I love my qidi and I have twice as much money as you (in terms of my machine being cheaper) and print just as fast and just as well....

2:25:40 I've had one spool that dried normally on the Polymaker dry box, and one spool took a long time. What I've noticed is that on the bottom where the dryer connects to the box there's no rubber seal. Only the feet that you attach to the box when you are done drying has the rubber seal. Curious why that is and if it contributes to being less efficient.
@3DMusketeers
@3DMusketeers Күн бұрын
not sure, but you do technically want the warm air to be removed from the box because that warm air has moisture in it.. its an odd dance for dryers.

Humm, I know Mitch would like a whiter white - but I actually kinda like a slightly yellow off-white, because my that's the way the inside of some of our rooms are colored and I like to match that. I'll keep that in mind next time I want some white.

Thank you for mentioning Joseph Prusa's post about carbon fiber! That was educational, and now I'm happy I bought Prusament PC-CF. The reason why I bought it is I don't have a good enough enclosure to print raw Polycarbonate in large sizes without warping. Even if I did get a better enclosure, I'd have to reprint the printed parts on my Mk4 anyways as the temperatures needed to print PC are too high for a printer made with PETG parts. I don't really want to rebuild my printer if I don't have to.

I agree with the reddit comment, I use a Formlabs Fuse 1+ with TPU. It has a number of problems and by no means is perfect. I wouldn't want to work with the micronics printer because I think it would only have 10x the amount of work involved to get it working and keep it working.

I tried to load filament without a nozzle myself. Even the tiniest bit of residue made it very hard to get a new nozzle in. Eventually got it clean, but mine was not here near as messy as what was shown and it was still a pain to clean enough to slide a nozzle in easily.

You're going to test just the tip of the Diamondback? Sorry, couldn't help myself. I am very much looking forward to that video. As for the Bambu self-ejecting hot end: at the risk of appearing to try and dunk on Bambu Lab, that's a really silly design fault. Bambu markets hard to non-technical people looking for their first 3D printer, and that kind of failure seems 1) easy for a newbie to miss, and 2) really messy to clean up.
