The map sensor showed in the video is there a hose than connects to it ?
@TravisPinto
@TravisPinto 2 ай бұрын
Yes.. It will already have a hose connected to it. The hose goes to a stepper motor on the clutch lever side of the motorcycle. You can cap it off at the stepper motor, like I did. You can also just re-attach the hose back to intake flap diaphragm.

This is exactly what customers are asking for... Identity, device, location are "easier" and required, BUT the app/instance risk, activity, user behavior, and then the actual data in motion are much more difficult (impossible without Netskope)... @travis does an amazing job on how you can operationalize these more complex policy oppty's... great work Travis!!!

Are using Triumph OEM head bolts or some aftermarket (ARP?) bolts? Normally, according to the manual, OEM bolts do not seem to require any thread lubricant, or am I missing something?

Thank you Travis! These videos were incredibly helpful for removing the engine from my Street Triple today (the frame and fittings are the same as on Dytona). One of the frame adjusters was properly stuck in my case. It was nerve wracking to loosen it with some force. It did not help that I bought an aftermarket tool, which firstly did not fit into the bolthole (WTF?), so i had to grind ~1 mm off the tool, all the way around. But because wretched thing is made of some very soft metal, it got mangled by the seized adjuster right away. In the end, I had to sacrifice a 10-mm wide flat screwdriver to make my own. BTW, for anyone embarking on this journey: the adjusters need to be turned just a few times, enough for them to retract, so they are not pressed against the engine (and do get the legit tool in advance; I heard there are other rubbish versions of this tool around).

Do you know if I can just plug the vacuum line and fill in that hole to delete the whole system? Or will that throw a code. I have the flapper disabled in tuneecu anyway.
@TravisPinto
@TravisPinto Жыл бұрын
It's the plug on the little stepper motor that will give you the ECU code issue. The ECU wants to see that thing plugged in. I'm not sure which ohm resistor you would need to delete that little stepper motor. I hope this helps.
@TravisPinto
@TravisPinto Жыл бұрын
Since you have it disabled in the ECU, you may be able to delete the entire thing without an ECU fault. I say this because I disabled the exhaust valve in the ECU and was able to remove the entire assembly without throwing a code. My guess is that you will have the same result.
@BlueDevilMoto
@BlueDevilMoto Жыл бұрын
@@TravisPinto that helps, appreciate it - it should be fine then. I’ve had my headers de-catted with the exhaust valve disabled for ages without throwing a code. Should be able to just pull it then 👍🏼

these philips head screw type push rivets are horrible! any engineer that selected them should be flogged. in the daytona 765 you cannot grab the back. the best way to extricate them is to puncture the center from an angle and pry it out. then throw them away! I found that a perfect replacement is the Dorman 961-359D Chrysler GM Multi-location push rivets. The center simply presses in and it leaves a nice little space to insert a screw driver to readily pop it out. Most engineers need more adult supervision. Many have Asperger syndrome. These factory push rivets are proof!
@TravisPinto

Totally agree... I ended up switching them all out in favor of the traditional push rivets that don't require the Philips Head screwdriver.

@TravisPinto
@TravisPinto 2 жыл бұрын
I did a few track days right after the shock install. For my 200Lbs, it worked extremely well. I had also updated the front springs to higher spring rates. Those are listed in one of my other videos. If I had to do it all over again, I would. The only thing I would have done differently would have been to go with Suzuki shock instead of the Kawasaki. With the Suzuki shock, I wouldn't have needed to shim or grind down anything.
