I I have a crazy theory BUT HEAR ME OUT. The evil star clan theory (it's a bit inspired by the evil Spotted Leaf but I came up with it myself). So at the beginning of I think Eclipse (I read it a very long time ago and I'm actually no longer in the fandom, so correct me if there are any mistakes), I think Rock or someone from the Star Clan has some sort of grudge against Midnight for telling Sol about the eclipse . And she's explaining that it was meant to be. And I'm thinking, why would one of the smartest characters in the series tell some random loner about something like that. And she probably still told him where it was because I don't believe he got there alone. Maybe she even gave him the idea to destroy the clans, because the clans are actually like sects, if you look at it literally. And I think Midnight is plotting against the Star Clan because the Star Clan is evil. She's literally making herself some child-soldiers out of Jaypaw and Lionpaw. It leads to things like letting Ashfur into the Star Clan. They doesn't help the Dark Forest's manipulated cats at all, theyjust haunts some random from the saint chosen Thunder Clan for no reason. He favours they Thunder Clan all the time. And there's probably a lot more but I stopped halfway through the 4th series also great video <3

I’ve never heard of the Rock is Jayfeather from another failed timeline (ik there’s Traveller Feather but that isn’t the same) but I honestly really love the theory! It’s easy to understand and doesn’t seem that far of a stretch imo because of Jayfeather literally traveling to the past to make sure an event happens so that his timeline remains the same. If Rock Jayfeather chose to go with Half Moon and lead the group to the mountains, then become the first Stoneteller, then that timeline gets messed up! Maybe Rock Jayfeather is punished by Starclan to wander forever (thus why despite his ancient age he isn’t faded yet while not in Starclan territory) and goes to live in the tunnels forever. It especially makes sense why Rock is so pushy of Jayfeather and makes sure he makes the right choice (Leaving Flametail to drown to not risk him dying, making sure he doesn’t choose Half Moon, etc.). Maybe Rock Jayfeather changed his name to Rock, a very simple and easy to think of name considering he lives in a cave) so that Jayfeather maybe wouldn’t be so freaked out, or perhaps he forgot his own name because of his ancient age that he used a simple name like Rock as a placeholder. Super interesting!
