@@DrewFixIt You didnt even have to take the carby bowl off and clean the jet and float etc.The battery was still in good nick so looks like they put it on the kerb when it didnt start.....a simple repair and some fault finding and its back to life and those blades look nearly brand new.....Is it an alloy deck? Did you have a look if its got a metal info tag?

@@DrewFixIt I gave my mates Rover 4 stroke a service a few years back and I amsure I saw a metal info tag near the engine block with place of manufacture and model number.....Also some of the older mowers had that info pressed into the cowling......With that detailing and tag it really came up a treat..welldone.

Hi Mate, so hard to comment remotely, however I would ask how old is the kitchen faucet? If it is many years old you may find that there is either a partial blockage in either the braided lines supplying the tap or the faucet itself. Does it run relatively slowly? If so, what I would do is try and determine where the blockage is and what I would do first is check the braided lines! I hope this helps somewhat? Cheers Drew

Hi Mate, thanks for the feedback! It's a little counter intuitive, however get him to try higher tyre pressures as this can result in a smoother ride!! You will notice also that I have swapped out the low profile AMG rims (21 inch) for 16 or 17 inch rims on my car just because I personally wanted a softer ride ... I do get given grief by this decision, however I do have the AMG rims in my shed to put back on the car one day!! Cheers Drew

Hi Mate, you are spot on in many ways! Yes my W164 has less than 300k, infact it is just 180,000 kms. I did think about replacing just the regulator, however the way in which my regulator failed was that it pushed excessive current into the armature winding making the alternator squeal. By the time I pulled over it was clearly burning the armature windings. My mistake I should have pulled over as soon as I heard the noise and pulled the D-Plug to the Alternator, but I was in a rush getting my son to school. Given the car is actually my daily drive I didn't want to risk just swapping the Regulator given how badly the alternator had smelled (burning smell) from as I mentioned what I believe is excessive current pushing through the armature in this failure mode. I was actually thinking about doing a seperate video about this, explaining what happened and why I did not just replace the regulator but explaining how to replace the regulator for the normal failure mode which you have highlighted. Would this be a video that you would be interested in? Cheers Drew

Hi Oscar, I believe I told those without a tow bar to lift from the diff and even showed you the diff and explained to use a block of wood to protect the diff ... why would I personally stuff around myself lifting from the diff when I've got a towbar? Cheers Drew

Hi Mate, it sounds like your transmission is flaring the rpm on the shift from fourth to fifth. When you say it goes to 2.2rpm does is it smooth on the shift and does it then come back down? Also, does it only do it when it is cold or does it do it all the time? I ask these questions because at face value you would say the clutches on fifth gear are wearing, however with these transmissions there are just so many parameters that are taken into consideration between the Transmission Control Unit (TCU) and the Engine Control Unit (ECU). @@DrewFixIt it happens when hot, and not all the time, but daily. Once it shifts up, it comes down smoothly. Its only happening on upshift you can feel it's going to shift but meantime rpm goes up like you stomped the gas pedal..

Hi Arron, I have no experience with Redline's Water Wetter. I have two questions; 1/ does it meet Mercedes Specification MB 325.0 2/ It appears like it is simply for heat transfer and does not have any anti-freeze properties, if this is the case I would be concerned that I couldn't suddenly jump in the car and had across to the snow for a ski trip easily. Also, I have never had any trouble with the temperature being too high with my Mercedes if anything mine was running too cool, so I recently swapped in a new Thermostat so it would run warmer ... check out the video here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sLJ-bKSnrd22qWg.html Thus I personally wouldn't use this. @@DrewFixIt Hi Drew, No, WW does meet MB Spec 325.02 and does not contain any anto freeze properties. Snow is not a huge concern in WA, as you can appreciate. I'll check out the thermostat video.

I have no issues with the majority of aftermarket parts I have used, however I will note that I have been through a couple of rear latches ... but at literally 1/20th of the price of a genuine Mercedes part for a latch ... go figure ...
