If you need "Fast Wide", the SMC K/KM/KA have those. If the EF ring is a little loose (depending on manufacturer), a layer of Mylar tape with evaporated metal surface stuck to the adapter's front face and trimmed to shape, will fill the gap and make the ring much more secure on the lens. The comments on colour rendition and focus breathing, also match the K/KM/KA's,.. and looks real nice with an anamorphic adapter in front. The comment about being sharp and detailed and softening skin at the same time, is ideal for use on modern cinema cameras, where modern lenses can be harsh and too sharp.

bought an X-E2s used about a month ago and fixed these things to it: 1. Anchor links, reason is obvious 2. a red shutter button, you can hold the camera with your hand around the lens, at hips height pointing forward, and then actually press the shutter button unnoticed, with the palm of your hand 3. a hot shoe cover, on all of my other cameras, this thing rests in the boxes together with the X-T2 flash, or the X-T3 charging device, or the X-H2 charging cable (bought a 2x charger for the batteries instead) unluckily, the hot shoe of the X-E2s does not work! So I decided to leave the hot shoe on. 4. the 7 artisans 25mm/2.0

Wait, o my understanding F stopping down a lens with periferal fog will make it sharper, since you are in theory using less of that peripheral foggy area to create the image... contrary to scratches and dust, the wider the aperture the less visible they are because the mage is being formed with the "whole" glass/lens.

When there is yellowing on the takumar means there is thorium, they are radioactive. Some uv light, such as direct sunlight will return them to a transparent state

I bought one a few months back, and also love it: the way it looks and feels gives me great pleasure when I'm using it. It also helps me take pictures that I like. Did you try the 18mm yet? I bought one of those, too. Back in the day, when I shot film on a Pentax ME Super, I used a 28mm lens all the time. So, I figured that I'd love the 18mm from Voigtlander just as much as the 27mm, but MORE because of it's focal length. But actually, I find that I prefer the 27mm for what i now use my camera for, and the 18mm is a little wide. Still, I'm happy to have it in my kit. Both are joyful to use, and the manual focus is effortless; mostly, I just zone focus, and I don't really think about it. Nice review.

Now you'r'e talking, Caleb; AI & AI-S lenses are superlative, & because they're all F mount, every Nikon body I own - from 1962 up to my D850, marry perfectly. Nikon glass is oft overlooked - primarily because it's considerably less expensive than Canon & Leica (& for which I have nothing personally against); I like the fact that Nikon focussing rings run in the opposite direction to the above counterparts, & apart from owning a couple of original OM series SLR's, I am uniquely a Nikon man: I like the weight; the positive clicks on the aperture rings - & for the most part, the wonderfully smooth focus; ultimately, there's nothing I don't like. I'll be using these lenses until I shuffle off the mortal coil. Excellent overview.
